A whopping six teams have spent time in the Top 10 this year. It's anyone's ball game with Central-Macon holding the slight advantage, avenging a 32-20 loss at ACE by beating the Gryphons in double overtime 35-33. [player_tooltip player_id='674961' first='Jazlyn' last='Johnson'] and [player_tooltip player_id='922536' first='Frances' last='Anyakudo'] are Alcorn State-signees for the Lady Chargers. Sara Rhett Farmer leads ACE in scoring at 17.1 points per game shooting 36% from distance. East Laurens has the best win out of anyone, delivering Class 4A North Oconee their only loss of the season. [player_tooltip player_id='790250' first='McKayela' last='Tanner'] is pouring in 18.4 points per game. Bleckley County freshman Ava Jenkins left Houston County for smaller competition and has dominated, averaging 14 points, 11.9 rebounds and 2.3 blocks per game. Speaking of dominating, [player_tooltip player_id='372727' first='Lyric' last='Green'] continues to put up video game numbers at Dodge County with her overpowering size and strength, Georgia's most prolific double-double machine. Washington County has a slew of good guards, led by [player_tooltip player_id='900781' first='Aeria' last='Hagans']' 13.4 points per game.

TEAMS: Athens Academy, Banks County, Commerce, Elbert County, Oglethorpe County, Providence Christian, Rabun County

It looked like Elbert County was the team to beat early in the season winning their first 16 games including beating Banks County 59-39 but the Leopards bounced back with a run of their own, defeating the Blue Devils 52-36 as part of their current 15-game winning streak. Ryleigh and [player_tooltip player_id='674935' first='Reese' last='Murphy'] lead the Leopards on the perimeter with their three-point shooting while [player_tooltip player_id='620978' first='Ansley' last='Moore'] brings speed from Athens Christian to the backcourt. Elbert County has a balanced attack as [player_tooltip player_id='876798' first='Audrey' last='Lunsford'], Zy Belcher and Kaylen Rucker have had numerous standout performances. Rabun County tapered off early in the year but have one of the best 2027 backcourts in North Georgia between [player_tooltip player_id='674578' first='Adelyn' last='Thompson'] and [player_tooltip player_id='674590' first='Addy' last='Beth Owens']. Athens Academy has been a staple in the Class 3A-1A Private Top 10 lately behind [player_tooltip player_id='743559' first='Kendall' last='Lawson'] and [player_tooltip player_id='743568' first='Millie' last='Pugmire']. The biggest surprise has been Providence Christian sitting at 15-8 breaking into the Private Top 10. [player_tooltip player_id='1173352' first='Ella' last='Truong'] leads all players in the region in scoring at 18 points per game, the sharpshooter netting over 40% of her three-point attempts.
