A couple of ranked Kansas athletes announced their college commitments this past week, and teams from all over the state are prepping for a busy week of Sub-State Action.

Classes 1A DII-Class 3A have already played at least one postseason game, while Classes 4A-6A will start postseason play Tuesday or Wednesday.

Here is a look at four seniors who have committed to play college basketball and who hope their prep careers end at a state tournament.

[player_tooltip player_id='398379' first='Amelia' last='Ramsey'], 6'0”, PF/C, Hayden (Coffeyville CC)

Ramsey is almost an automatic double-double threat each time she steps onto a court. The Hayden prospect announced last week that she has committed to Coffeyville Community College. I watched the Wildcats not long ago, and at the time, she was weighing multiple options. I think Coffeyville is a great landing place for her. She should get a chance to show off her game at the JCUO level and make a future jump to a four-year program.

[player_tooltip player_id='398380' first='Brylee' last='Meier'], 6'0”, PF, Hayden, '25 (Bellevue)

Meier is an athlete I saw play in February. She is a gifted athlete who gets up and down the court well. She has a ton of weapons around her, and she does a nice job of sharing the ball. She has been long committed to Bellevue. Bellevue University is an NAIA program in Nebraska. Meier could have a quick impact for the Bruins. Hayden (19-2) is the No. 1 Seed in the Class 4A Eudora Sub-State and will host Chanute (4-16) on March 5.

[player_tooltip player_id='872349' first='Rori' last='Miles'], 5'5”, PG, Bennington (Sterling)

Miles took to social media last week to announce her commitment to Sterling. Miles is among the state leaders in scoring and could have an immediate impact on the Warriors' roster. She is scoring 19.5 points per game for Bennington and has also been flexing on defense with 2.9 steals per game. Bennington (18-3) advanced to the second round of the Class 2A sub-state to be hosted in Moundridge. Bennington's next game will be against the Classical School of Wichita on March 5.

[player_tooltip player_id='349457' first='Oen' last='Deters'], 5'6”, SG, Centralia (Benedictine)

Deters is a solid multi-sport athlete who has chosen to continue to play basketball at Benedictine after graduation. Centralia (19-0) knocked off Onaga 64-29 to open sub-state play. The Panthers will host Clifton Clyde (16-4) on March 7. The Eagles have postseason wins over Bishop Seabury Academy and Frankfort. The winner of that game will punch its ticket to the Class 1A DI State Tournament to be played in Dodge City.
