The Lady Bengals led 29-25 at the halftime break. Blythewood HS would pull away and eventually have a 50-40 lead with 6:30 left in the game. The Lady Bengals would stay in charge and pullout a 62-56 victory to claim its 1st Girls Basketball State Championship. The Daugherty sisters have signed to play at Abilene Christian University in Texas next year. Molly would finish her career with 22 points while Emma struggled here tonight being in foul trouble and just 4 points. Williams came into the game averaging 16.8 ppg and 4.8 rebounds for the Lady Bengals. The state champion on the track and now the hardwood averaged 5.3 steals this season along with 12.7 ppg. Hayley finished tonight with 11 points. Sherron finished with 7 assists and 4 rebounds in the game. Bosmans was constantly around the ball down in the paint area and finished with 9 points. Daniella was able to convert a few short jumpers while also showing a good head fake move along the way this evening.
