TSSAA 2A All-State Tournament Team

We continue this segment as we name the All State Tournament team from players who got after it during the state championships. This season was a successful one for so many, that saw first time champions as well as those who repeated. What else is so amazing that the state tournament served as a launch pad for those who will become household names moving forward. If you didn't know, now you know as many used the glass house to wake up the rest of the state.   Here are the players who were named All Tournament team by TSSAA from the 2A classification.    Named MVP of the tournament as she led her ball club towards capture the gold ball trophy. She finished with a total of 57 points, 19 rebounds, 4 assists , 2 steals, and 2 blocks. She shot 56% from the field as she was able to get to favorable spots and unleash the rock. This multi level scoring threat is solid on both ends of the floor. She had a tremendous outing where she delievered time and time again. A heady ball player who definitely had one of the better performances at the tournament. A solid way to go out your senior season as a champion.     Big-time kid who is a gym rat. Basketball is in her DNA as it's a family thing . She continues to thrive on the floor and add tools to her tool belt. She impacts the game like no other as she knocks down shots time and time again inside and out. Has great size, contributes in other phases of the game, this kid is special and will continue to be a factor for at the next level.     A dynamic point guard who can score but at a high clip. She can knock shots down from the arc or penetrate the gaps, getting down hill, utilizing her quick first step. She has tight handles that keep defenders in their heels. She's a heady ball player that has great floor awareness . Can make timely passes, create for herself as well as other, she plays a tremendous role for her ball club. Look for her to capitalize on this performance and carry it over to next season.     Heady PG who contributes on both ends of the floor. Utilizes her speed well, she can score it from multiple levels, facilitate the ball to the hot hand, and get after it on the defensive end. Has great court awareness as she is always thinking next play. She shoots the gaps when she isn't on the ball, boxes out well, and always seems to be in the right spot to either gain the ball or make the opponent counter in what they are doing. She is a solid ball player who impacts the game with her style of play.     Plays with relentless energy, understand the flow of the game along with pace and space. She is a heady ball player who can exploit defenses. She can attack the rim or spot up along the arc to knock it down from deep. Always has her head on a swivel and makes the right reads. She is solid defensively and utilizes her length to cause havoc. Had a tremendous year where she was so impactful. Look for her to build upon this performance and be ready to come out next season strong.     Super talented. Tough. One of the best ball players in the state. She just elevates her game and those around her when she is on the floor. She has this certain tunnel vision that allows her to deliever at a consistent clip. She is always making things happen, doesn't matter where she is on the court. Her impact is felt throughout as she gets buckets after buckets. Everyone knows her story, how she battled back from her injury to finish out the season. She will go down as one of the top kids to lace'em up in these hardwoods. Iowa State is getting a steal in this kid as she will go there and be impactful as soon as she steps onto campus.     Solid big who can play the 4 or 5 spot. She can face up or play with her back to the basket as she gets to favorable spots to finish. Has a nice mid-range game along with exceptional passing ability. Solid on the defensive end where she moves her feet well to keep opponents in front. Has active hands where she gets steals and blocks. Big time on the boards, eliminating second chance opportunities. A solid kid who is going to build upon this awesome season she had.     A solid center who contributes in every phase of the game. Offensively, she is solid displaying nice footwork in her back to the basket game. Can finish over either shoulder as well as position herself to finish strong through the opposition. Defensively she makes it tough for opponents to work down low. She uses her strength to knock them off their mark as well as grabs rebounds at a high clip. Had a great tournament that help lead her team towards capturing a state title. A solid way to end a great basketball career in the high school ranks.     Dual sport athlete that's a selfless floor general. She is a heady ball player that makes the right reads and knows when to exploit a weakness. She can be aggressive on the offensive end and attack gaps or spot up along the arc and knock it down from deep. She create havoc on the defensive end where she utilizes her quick hands and feet to poke balls loose and come up with steals. A talented and tough kid who will star in the diamond at the University of Tennessee next season.     A double digit scoring threat that can fill it up from multiple spots on the floor. She can put it on the floor to get to the rim or spot up along the arc, either way it's going to find the bottom of the net more times than not. She is a heady ball player that makes the right plays. Doesn't matter if it's on defense or offense, she gets after it, valuing each possession as if it was her last. She a tenacious defender that comes up with steals. She has quick feet, reacts well, and leaves it all out on the floor. A solid kid who will look to build upon this opportunity and thrive even more next season.
