Michigan Premier 2026-S40 Saldana

Their program mission is "empowering young women by developing strength of character, leadership skills, strong work ethic, and self-confidence through the love of basketball and athletic excellence. Springport Varsity Head Coach Rick Saldana will coach their 2026-S40 team this spring/summer. The Select 40 Circuit is a competitive independent circuit featuring several of Michigan's best teams and prospects. Every player on this roster is an impactful starter on their varsity team and ranked top 75 in their class. She earned Flint Metro Starts All-Conference Second Team honors, averaging 9.8 points (38.5% eFG%), 3.8 rebounds, 2.3 steals, and two assists per game for the Martians. Tanner uses her athleticism to block shots and score acrobatic layups driving to the basket--she will make sagging defenders pay by knocking down perimeter jumpers. During a quality win vs. Leslie, Leigh demonstrated her ability to contribute in every area, scoring 12 points with nine rebounds, four assists, three steals, and two blocks--she received the Jets Runway Player of the Game award. Leigh is an excellent facilitator--she fires passes on a rope to open teammates and surveys the defense with her eyes up. She anticipates passes, keeps her hands active, and moves her feet quickly to create steals on the defensive end. Leigh finishes full-speed layups at the rim and buries outside jumpers. On the S40 circuit, she was one of the biggest stock risers. Her shooting efficiency from inside and outside the arc, court vision/passing, defensive presence/intensity, verbal communication, finishing ability through contact, combination dribbles, and muscular development/strength impressed our scouts across the board. After the travel season, Makayla helped Tecumseh win the D2 State title, averaging 12.8 points, (58% 2PT, 35% 3PT), 3.2 assists (1.56 Ast/TO ratio), and two steals per game. She shot 87% from the free-throw line and made 32 triples. Chloe contributed in every statistic, averaging 9.6 points, 4.5 rebounds, 3.6 assists, 2.8 steals per game with a 66% 2PT% and 1.95 Ast/TO ratio. She's an accurate 3-point shooter with good footwork and passing vision. Rayah is an exciting playmaker who peppers the net with her 3-point shooting, delivers passes on a rope, and dribbles with the ball on a string. I haven't seen many across the state match that kind of production. Aubree earned Interstate 8 All-Conference First-Team honors and picked up an offer from Davenport in March. Her footwork and finishing proficiency in the low-post makes her tough to defend. Aubree is an effective passer and will have plenty of shooters spotting up on the perimeter. She's tough and persistent, which makes her an excellent rebounder on both ends. Mac swats shots at the rim and has the mobility to defend the perimeter. She drives hard to the basket, finishes with both hands, scores offensive rebound putbacks, and has the ability to knock down 3-pointers on the perimeter.
