Battle in the Big Friendly: 17u Pool B All Tournament Team

Below are 5 that I felt were consistent with their play when I watched them in games and some film. Seemed to always be in the right place to either score for her team or steal a possession. Mid-range game and outside shot allowed her to run the 3-4 position. Great cuts away from the ball getting to the sweet spot against the zone. On the block was posted up strong holding her ground giving the guards a big target to throw the bounce pass. Tough player that took a shot to the nose but kept playing as if nothing happened. A consistent mid-range game added with a quick first step-down hill consistently got her fouled or layup. Stood out was the defensive presence in the press creating turnovers into transition points. Small forward that played 1-4 spots for her team as they went 3-1 on the weekend. Handled the ball in the open floor like a point guard against the press. Quick lateral feet allowed her to defend the 2 guard, but she is physically enough to defend the power forward. A great sense of reading the ball coming off the rim to score putbacks. Defensively she moved her feet around the low post getting a deflection or stealing. Solid defensive rebounder.
