I'll be back out this weekend in Appleton, but I want to highlight a few more kids today and make my way-to-early state predictions for the 2025-26 season. That said, we'll highlight a handful of kids I haven't.

The Elkhorn guard is a skilled kid who can play off the dribble and create for her teammates. Schultz had to play an increased role last season due to injuries and did a solid job as the focal point of what the Elks did offensively. The Elkhorn native can make plays off the dribble and keeps her head up when she attacks the basket. She isn't the most explosive athlete. However, she can break defenses down with the ball in her hands.

[player_tooltip player_id='533086' first='Kylie' last='Pieper']

Pieper missed most of her junior season due to a knee injury she suffered in April 2024. However, I thought she looked solid in Hamilton last month after two months of being on the floor again. She's always been a solid athlete who could make plays on the defensive end of the floor but looked more confident on the offensive end at the first GUAA stop of the AAU season. We'll see how the spring and summer play out for Pieper, but she's looked solid since she returned from injury.

[player_tooltip player_id='533082' first='Libby' last='Gilmore']

Another Laker kid I'm eager to see back on the floor soon is 2024 WIAA D1 State Champion [player_tooltip player_id='533082' first='Libby' last='Gilmore']. The 5'10 wing is a perfect glue kid to have on any roster. She's an excellent defensive prospect who's been on an island against some of the top kids that have come through the state on the defensive end and possibly my favorite kid to watch in a loaded 2026 class. Gilmore had been a solid offensive threat before her injury last July and was someone people had asked me about in the 2024 AAU season. I'm sure schools are waiting to see her once she returns, hopefully as soon as possible.

[player_tooltip player_id='931583' first='Brooklyn' last='Luehring']

The Kettle Moraine Lutheran guard played a prominent role for one of the top programs in the state last season. Luehring was an integral part of the Chargers group, who beat a handful of the top D1 programs in the state. The 5'7 guard is the younger of now Oakland commit [player_tooltip player_id='448257' first='Makenzie' last='Luehring'], who had a tremendous career at KML, and Brooklyn has a chance to leave her mark. Her ability as a lead guard to create off the dribble for herself and others will be indispensable next season, which also could lead to Luehring having a breakout sophomore season for the Chargers.
