Chelinda’s passing ability was on full display but not always in the traditional “ball dominate” way. She was one of the better rebounders and her deep outlet passes led her teammates to many easy run out baskets. She also showed off her passing with the ability, from the wing, to read the defense, feed the post, and cut/relocate for open shots.

Chelinda was impressive, all-around, specifically so on the boards. As I mentioned, in a previous article, she is a tenacious rebounder who did an excellent job boxing out and starting many fast breaks with long outlet passes leading to easy buckets. Her box out technique was very solid, and she was able to hold the bigger/taller players at bay.

When I think about players that did a little bit of everything, I think of Chelinda. Tenacious rebounder who did an excellent job boxing out and starting many fast breaks with long outlet passes. When she wasn’t grabbing the board, she was often leading the pack running the court for easy layups. Solid with the ball, she had no problem dribbling through traffic on the way to the basket. Max effort player that moves her feet well and never gives up on a play.
