UNI scooped up another in-state recruit this week when [player_tooltip player_id='655384' first='Campbell' last='Schulz'] of North Polk committed there earlier today. Schulz has been a main producer for her North Polk High School team for two years now, showing a lot of dedication, promise, and willingness to learn from those around her. She is sure to be a main asset for the Comets once again this upcoming season at the CG position. She is coordinated, she has good size for her position, she is skilled on and off the ball, and she is someone who isn't a liability to you as a coach. All things that should help her translate to the next level in one way or another with the Panthers.

The collegiate interest is slowly dripping in as [player_tooltip player_id='766457' first='Rylie' last='Fugate'] continues to grow in her game. Fugate, a 5'7 CG, is someone that competes with a lot of heart. She is coordinated as a handler of the basketball, she is a solid offensive threat, and she is scrappy on defense. What else would do you want?! When you combined that with her steady progression over the past two years, you start to see the promise moving forward. Fugate just received an NAIA offer out of Des Moines from Grand View. Which is a respectable offer for a prospect with this type of respectable skill.

[player_tooltip player_id='935274' first='Vana' last='Bilic'] made the change up the past few days to commit to NAIA - Walford out of Iowa. This is a huge get for Walford as they bring in a new HC and a new system. Bilic has been described by us for years now as a player that just makes it happen. Doesn't matter the situation, timing, or anything in between. When a play needs to be made, Bilic answers and Waldorf will benefit from that following this upcoming Winter. (That's for sure.) A Winter that Bilic's team will have a chance to make history with their first 5A Class State Title.

It's been a long time coming but the baller that is [player_tooltip player_id='782508' first='Courtney' last='Franck'] is now committed to the D2 level at Wayne State. Franck was a vital piece as one of her team's PGs this past Winter when they brought home a 4A Title. What is Franck's play-style like now-a-days? She just plays the game the right way on offense and defense. She is willing to make the extra pass for the others around her, she can take over if need be off the dribble, or she can move off the ball and produce as a screener/cutter. I expect Wayne to be good over the next few years with what they are building. When they are bringing in players like this, who knows how far they could take things?!

[player_tooltip player_id='996522' first='Taylor' last='Franck'], sister of Courtney, will be attending UNI to compete with the Panthers in the purple & gold for the foreseeable future on the hardwood. Taylor might be the smaller of the two sisters but her game makes a lasting impact. She is also another prospect that plays the game the right way through and through. She doesn't force unneeded action and she can move around the perimeter to play a few different positions. Now with being at the D1 level, this is someone who will only be a PG for the Panthers from the looks of it. When you take everything into consideration, it just makes sense and that is not a bad thing. As long as she can seize the opportunity, she is going to grow exponentially in this game while competing with this squad so I can't wait to see how far she takes things.
