Taylor Franck Taylor Franck 5'4" | CG Mount Vernon | 2026 State IA proved this Winter that she is a next level prospect, who could compete for several collegiate programs out there given the correct circumstances. Franck, the 5’4 PG, had a great high school run and she finished that off by putting together a solid run within these Playoffs. Mount Vernon is a program that has had impressive guard play for years now. That’s why they won a 3A State Title just last Winter while going undefeated so to stand out as one of the best guards on their Mustang system is noteworthy.

Taylor Franck Taylor Franck 5'4" | CG Mount Vernon | 2026 State IA has returned from injury and she has been showing out the past month from several different standpoints. Franck has been lighting the nets on fire from deep off the catch, she has been making quick moves going toward the bucket to help create for the others around her when the defense is being too aggressive, and she is making most of her open offensive shot attempts from all over the floor whenever the ball is rotated back to her. You can’t ask for much more than that. Franck’s return has helped her team grab a handful of victories against some skilled programs. Now they just have to keep things rolling to finish out their regular season.

Taylor Franck Taylor Franck 5'4" | CG Mount Vernon | 2026 State IA , sister of Courtney, will be attending UNI to compete with the Panthers in the purple & gold for the foreseeable future on the hardwood. Taylor might be the smaller of the two sisters but her game makes a lasting impact. She is also another prospect that plays the game the right way through and through. She doesn’t force unneeded action and she can move around the perimeter to play a few different positions. Now with being at the D1 level, this is someone who will only be a PG for the Panthers from the looks of it. When you take everything into consideration, it just makes sense and that is not a bad thing. As long as she can seize the opportunity, she is going to grow exponentially in this game while competing with this squad so I can’t wait to see how far she takes things.

Taylor Franck Taylor Franck 5'4" | CG Mount Vernon | 2026 State IA is a fast moving, shifty PG with a lot of heart. She is dedicated in her pursuit of the basketball on both sides of the ball whenever she is competing. She never takes plays off and she never looks for the easy way out. She willing to take her bruises and go through it for the good of her team That’s been a constant throughout her high school career at this point and I don’t expect that to change anytime soon. Franck will compete in Vegas this weekend as she looks to finish off her AAU career with a bang with her AIA EYCL team. If she plays to her full capabilities, she should kill it from start to finish.

The more that I watch Taylor Franck Taylor Franck 5'4" | CG Mount Vernon | 2026 State IA , the more she shows what she is really made of. Franck has been a constant at the PG position all season long for the Mustangs. She will also venture over and compete at the 2 spot on occasions because of how many skilled guards her Varsity roster possesses. I would put Franck in the category of a pass first PG, that understands how to beat her opponent off the dribble for a finish at the hoop or she can hit a cutting teammate for an easy assist. Defensively, she is scrappy and annoying. She gets into her opponent physically and that wears on them throughout the contest, usually creating some sort of turnovers down the line. When Mount Vernon hoists their 3A Championship trophy tonight, this is someone that will be able to look back and know they made a lasting impact for their program.

The more that I see Taylor Franck Taylor Franck 5'4" | CG Mount Vernon | 2026 State IA compete, the more I love her play-style and overall game. In this contest Franck moved around the outside and did a ton of positive things to help her team win. She was playing as a pass first guard when she beat her defender off of the dribble, she was taking open shots when they presented themselves, she was running the team’s offensive motion from the PG spot at times, and she was finishing plays at the rim through contact. There are a few specific prospects that you can attribute this win to on Saturday and Taylor Franck Taylor Franck 5'4" | CG Mount Vernon | 2026 State IA is definitely in that conversation. Whenever the Mustangs needed something to happen, she capitalized and that is noteworthy. There is not a single doubt in my mind that TF is a collegiate level player. She could be a STEAL for a D3 or NAIA program, if that is her prerogative.

I really enjoyed watching Taylor Franck Taylor Franck 5'4" | CG Mount Vernon | 2026 State IA play on Saturday. Just like her sister, Taylor has a high basketball IQ and does a good job picking her spots offensively. I was impressed early in the game when Taylor got a defender in the air on a shot fake, drove left and hit a tough contested layup in the middle of the paint. If you don’t close out well enough, though, Franck is putting up the three ball – and it’s a very pretty shot. Taylor Franck Taylor Franck 5'4" | CG Mount Vernon | 2026 State IA has the skillset and motor to have an excellent junior season.

Whenever we have talked about Mount Vernon High School in the past, we have mentioned the fire power at the top of their roster but with how deep this team is going to be, the fire power really doesn’t lighten up the further you get down the list. A perfect example of this is 5’4 guard, Taylor Franck Taylor Franck 5'4" | CG Mount Vernon | 2026 State IA . Franck is a facilitating passer with a solid shooting and defending ability. This is a prospect that I would categorize as really fast but she is still always in control in those moments. As you can tell, Mount Vernon is going to be a tough out this Winter on any given night. With the roster they possess, any one of their top 8 could have the night of their high school careers and that’s what makes it hard to game-plan against them. In Franck’s situation, she is going to get a lot of chances this season when she is on the floor because the opposing team’s attention will be on the top prospects for the Mustangs. If she can make the most of those opportunities, she is going to be someone we hear about several more times this upcoming season.

Mount Vernon High School will return this Winter with a lot of talent and a lot of aspirations as to where they would like their season to go. Someone out of their upperclassmen group, that has been a solid producer for years now is CG, Taylor Franck Taylor Franck 5'4" | CG Mount Vernon | 2026 State IA . When I saw Franck compete during AAU season, she stood out in several different aspects of the game because of her coordinated attacking and pesty defense. With the Mustangs, Franck is going to have even more open opportunities to make a lasting impact. She might not consistently stay on the floor with how many talented individuals they have but she will come in and have to hold her own when others are in foul trouble or need a break. Having a deep roster can be the difference to having a winning season so hopefully Franck can lace up for her Junior season with supreme confidence and let her play-style do the talking.
