PGH Oklahoma Expo: Get to Know ( Part 2)

Listed are six players that had a great showing at the Expo.  All these players will have an impact on their programs this season. Whether it's stepping into starting roles or having to contribute more due to graduation. Good reads coming off the screens either rolling to the rim or popping for the kick out. High percentage shooter throughout the day in all stations. Attacked poor closeouts with finishes at the rim or pull up jumper in the open gap. Hard nose ball handler that handled the physical defensive bumps on the drives. Moved without the ball in 5/5 play scoring on off the ball cuts to the rim. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Physical defender that kept the ball handler in front of her the whole time. Nice mid-range pull up jumper off the dribble has great lift and smooth release. The small forward shoots outside like high percentage shooting guard. A strong physical driver downhill that can take the contact for the old school 3-point play.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Protype physical size for a big guard at the next level. The ability to score with the jumper and on the drive makes her tough make up for opposing teams. Great length and athleticism make this 2028 a player to watch. In the Expo she showed the outside shooting ability as well as the skill set to attack downhill from the wings.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>A defense specialist in the paint that could lead your team in block and rebounds coming from the small forward position. A tall guard that can play the 1-3 spot on the floor who plays at high level. Possibility one of the quickest runs back guards I have seen all summer. Meaning after a score she gets the ball in hand and runs it back before the defense can get set up. A complete guard that brings all the offensive skill set coaches are looking for.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Long and quick that plays all out in between the lines on defense creating turnovers. The lateral drop on defense allows her to work as a ball handler side to side without giving up any ground. Last season Tycee was a consistent high post shooter that could also get to the rim off the dribble. The outside shooting development over the summer makes Tycee a legit shooting guard/small forward combo. Long frame and footwork in the post forces an opposing team to choose to do you guard her with a tall player or a small guard.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The transfer from Cleveland to Berryhill should open scoring opportunities as Berryhill is a more up-tempo-based offense. A steady diet of fakes and moves kept the defense guessing and jumping. The reads on the fakes following a nice move demonstrate that work has been put in. Good soft touch of the glass resulted in a very smooth move that did not seem rushed but very in control instead.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Taylor play on the outside with ball handling and mid-range jumper showed that she can play 3-4 as well if needed, Lateral footwork on defense gives her the ability to defend the 4 positions also. Strong legs give her the base to be physical enough against taller post players.
