Venues throughout the Midlands since the beginning of the first day that month have played host to the Southeast Elite Showcase Fall League.

Lexington HS – a 5A Division 1 school – has had the distinction of being the host venue for the latest portion of the early Fall showcase that takes place in September into October.

We at Prep Girls Hoops made the trip to Session Four of the Southeast Elite Case – just as we did two weeks ago for a similar event at Ben Lippen – a SCISA 4A school. We unveiled an article recently that spotlighted a few of the veteran guards that were on hand. Without further do, here is that list.

SCISA 4A Ben Lippen is rapidly establishing a team with notable names that makes it one of the more intriguing across the state's private school ranks. McEntire is establishing a profile as one of the premier freshmen in the Palmetto State. Look out for when McEntire has the rock from behind the 3-point arc because she is very likely to take – and connect on – her tries from deep. Collecting steals, attacking the basket and playing with a high basketball IQ are other key elements to McEntire's game. McEntire played in 26 games last season for the Falcons and averaged nine points, 3.7 rebounds, three assists and two steals.

Gipson is rapidly establishing herself as one of the faces of the Palmetto State's ever-robust youth movement. For someone who is as young as Gipson is, she is displaying the leadership skills and confidence more often seen in seniors and juniors. That leadership, confidence and activity away from the ball only compliment her ability to make plays as both a scorer and as a ball distributor. In large part because of her, SCISA 4A Ben Lippen will be one of the teams to keep an eye out for this season – and for the next several as Gipson continues to build her profile.

Alaya is the younger of the Douglas sister act that first-year Chapin coach Terence Jones looks to utilize in 2025-26. Douglas is an efficient floor runner who understands the arts of attacking the rim and that of making plays in transition. She stands at 5-foot-8. She will be part of an Eagles team that last year concluded its season with a 13-15 record and won its first-round 5A Division 2 tournament matchup against St. James. Douglas has performed consistently at Southeast Elite Showcase events and these performances being done in the regular season will further solidify Chapin as one of the tougher outs in 5A Division 2 play.

The Silver Foxes of 5A Division 1 Dutch Fork have a pair of young, impressive talents on TUSC that should ensure said Silver Foxes remain contenders in the future. Adams is one of those. A midrange jump shot is part of her offensive repertoire and she has no problems with physicality in the paint as it can give her plenty of opportunities to make things happen at the free throw line. Adams is a skilled ball-handler that will also try her hand at the 3-point shot. She can also block shots as a defender. The phrase “just getting started” certainly applies to Adams.

Another eighth grader that is rapidly rising through the ranks from Dutch Fork is Gibson. Given that the Silver Foxes are a region rival of the Wildcats, Gibson should become very familiar with Lexington in the coming years. She can set an offense up in a halfcourt set as a point guard. As a defender, she will look to prevent an inbounds pass with her defense. Gibson approaches the game with a mindset to outwork her opponents and one of the many ways she does so is with her consistent, heads-up play. Her name will be written about on many occasions over the next several years.

Randall represented the Yellow Jackets of 5A Division 2 Irmo extremely well. She was very consistent with how she attacked the rim and with how she made plays all around. Randall plays with a high motor from start to finish and has no issues displaying her confidence by calling for the ball when she knows she can make a play. That high motor includes the ability to match an opposing ball carrier virtually step for step, playing with a heads-up mentality on defense in addition to making hustle plays. As potent as she is as an offensive threat, it is no surprise that she will attract her fair share of attention from defenses.
