The Silver Foxes of 5A Dutch Fork present one of the tougher teams across the state to defeat. Adams ensured that continued to be the case as she was one of two from the class of 2030 on last season’s Dutch Fork team. In her first season at the high school level, Adams would compete in 24 contests for the Silver Foxes while averaging 11 points, 4.5 rebounds, 2.9 assists and 2.7 steals per contest. Adams’ career has also included a stint where she played AAU with Team Unleashed South Carolina. It has also included a time where she wore the IDreams uniform. Now, she runs with SC Lady Wolfpack.

Avani put up good numbers on the stat sheet this season for her varsity team. She averaged 11 points, 5 rebounds and over 3 steals and assist per game. She displays a solid mid-range game and jump shot. Also, is strong getting to the rim and taking contact on her finishes. Look forward to watching her grow and develop.

We have caught plenty of glimpses of Adams as of late because of how she has performed with Team Unleashed South Carolina. Dutch Fork – a 5A Division 1 team – has not been short on talent lately and Adams is poised to add to that line of standouts that have sported the Silver Foxes’ colors. Adams understands that the ability to score at all three levels is a great way to become a matchup problem for many defenses. Another way this can happen is by drawing contact and taking chances at the free throw line. The 2024-25 version of Dutch Fork compiled a 22-3 record.

The Silver Foxes of 5A Division 1 Dutch Fork have a pair of young, impressive talents on TUSC that should ensure said Silver Foxes remain contenders in the future. Adams is one of those. A midrange jump shot is part of her offensive repertoire and she has no problems with physicality in the paint as it can give her plenty of opportunities to make things happen at the free throw line. Adams is a skilled ball-handler that will also try her hand at the 3-point shot. She can also block shots as a defender. The phrase “just getting started” certainly applies to Adams.

Adams was also part of that Team Unleashed South Carolina assembling that made an appearance on the Prep Girls Hoops Circuit. With her shooting capabilities, one can see why Adams can be in a starting five as a two guard. With her ability to find her way past defenses and attack the basket, one can see why Adams would be in a starting five at the point. Adams knows how to turn defense into offense as she can really make things difficult for an opposing ball carrier then take advantage of a slight miscue to go the other way for a two-point transition layup.

Adams is a hidden gem that does everything that is needed. Her ability to score from anywhere is what made her elite. A player not afraid to guard you the length of the floor and create turnovers. Her ability to knock down the 3-ball opened up lanes for her teammates to drive to the basket. She averaged double figures on the weekend.

Adams is a pure shooter who can let it fly from anywhere on the court. A player that does not need much room to get her shot off. Always moving without the basketball which allows her to create her own shot. Scored 15 points and shot 3-4 from behind the arc in game 1.
