Gibson was the other 2030 on that Dutch Fork team from last season. She ran with SC Wolfpack throughout the spring and summer of AAU and also competed in all 24 contests for the Silver Foxes in 2025-26. Dutch Fork will be well-represented this weekend in North Charleston – six of coach Candace Bush’s Silver Foxes will make their presences known at this year’s SCBCA Elite Camp. She was one of our top performers at the Prep Girls Hoops Circuit’s Sparkle City Slam in Spartanburg back in late July. Gibson and her Silver Foxes are set to begin their 2026-27 season on Nov. 23 on the road at 4A Wilson.

showed off her range hitting multiple from deep off the pass. This was on repeat throughout the game showing her high arch shot that’s difficult to block. She moves well without the ball getting to the opening. She pushes the tempo getting to the basket and finding her open teammates with a nice pass.

Gibson was one of two from the class of 2030 that earned roster spots on last year’s Dutch Fork team that made a run to the Upper State semifinals of the 5A Division 1 state tournament. She would compete in all 24 games for a Silver Foxes bunch that finished last season with a record of 18-6 and only dropped one of its 10 region contests. Gibson is a talented young guard that understands finishing at the rim, connecting from range, making tough shots and getting out in transition to make plays. With Gibson in Dutch Fork colors, one can expect the Silver Foxes to once again be among one of the 5A field’s most dangerous of teams.

Gibson earned playing time in all 24 contests last season for 5A Dutch Fork as an eighth grader. When considering rising freshmen ready to take that next step, one must take note of Gibson. She also played a massive part in Dutch Fork’s dominant 80-21 rout of fellow 5A combatant Blythewood to begin Friday’s play at Riverview Park. Gibson aided the Silver Foxes’ cause with 12 points. At 5-foot-7, she has a height advantage over a number of her peer guards and fuses that together with the talent to compliment it. Gibson is a multi-sport athlete who has also competed in track and field events alongside her rising list of basketball achievements and those attributes are translating well to her prowess as a basketball player.

Talent has consistently been plentiful at 5A Dutch Fork and Gibson appears to be another Silver Foxes name poised to ensure they stay in the win column more often than not. Gibson played in 24 games last season at Dutch Fork. At last year’s Triumph Region Finals at Columbus State University, we recognized Gibson as part of our 13U Second Team as she played for Lady TUSC that year. She was two from Lady TUSC that earned spots on our 13U Second Team. Gibson was one of two from the class of 2030 that earned roster spots on last season’s Dutch Fork assembling and appears to be just getting started establishing a statewide profile.

Another eighth grader that is rapidly rising through the ranks from Dutch Fork is Gibson. Given that the Silver Foxes are a region rival of the Wildcats, Gibson should become very familiar with Lexington in the coming years. She can set an offense up in a halfcourt set as a point guard. As a defender, she will look to prevent an inbounds pass with her defense. Gibson approaches the game with a mindset to outwork her opponents and one of the many ways she does so is with her consistent, heads-up play. Her name will be written about on many occasions over the next several years.
