All five are ranked in the Top 25 by Prep Girls Hoops, and I hope to see them play after the New Year.

Williams is the No. 1-ranked athlete in the Kansas Class of 2028. She had a chunky freshman stat line that included 9.5 points, 4.8 rebounds, and four assists per game. She is an excellent passer with solid court vision. If she played hockey, they would call her a "200-foot" forward. She can play on both ends of the court, as she finished with two steals per game as a freshman.

Boyd is ranked No. 14 overall by Prep Girls Hoops. She had a solid freshman season, posting averages of 5.1 points and 6.4 rebounds per contest. She shot 51 percent from the field and 70 percent from the free-throw line last season. Look for her numbers to see a significant increase, as she played just 15 minutes per game last season.

Manhattan is a team I am going to attempt to scout this season. I want to get an up-close look at this Indian multi-sport prospect. I saw Banks play volleyball this fall and was impressed with her natural athleticism and competitive drive. She saw a limited role last season at the varsity basketball level for Manhattan. She played in just nine games, scoring 2.7 points per contest. She looks like a future paint monster to me, but time and my eyes will tell. Banks is ranked No. 18 overall by PGH.

I don't watch a ton of KC area basketball, but one player I would go out of my way to try to catch this season is Southwest's Dallavou. She is a multi-sport prospect in Cross Country, Softball, and Basketball. That's an interesting trio of sports, but she is not afraid of running. She has an impressive social media presence, which tells me she is serious about playing college sports. She is ranked No. 22 overall by PGH Kansas.

Wichman is another multi-sport prospect I hope to see this winter. She had a breakout season on the volleyball court this fall for the Wildcats. She was a key hitter on Hayden's Class 4A State Runner-Up Volleyball squad. She was also named an Honorable Mention player on the Class 4A KVA All-State Team. I have seen how her reach and quickness help her on the volleyball court, and now I want to witness how those skills translate on the basketball court. I don't recall seeing her play round ball last season, and could not find last year's stats for Hayden online. If I were forced to prognosticate, she has the skills to average eight-plus rebounds and three steals per game. She is ranked No. 25 overall in the Kansas Class of 2028.
