The Class of 2028 Rankings previously included 150 Tennessee players. After a spring/summer season of games and Fall League play, it has been increased to 180 players.

Twenty three Memphis area players made the ranking and 5 players are in the Top 25.

There is an interesting statistic from last season that each Memphis player in the Top 25 accomplished as a freshman. Each was the second leading scorer on their team averaging double digits per game.

#10 Versatile Combo Guard. Caidyn average 14 points, 4 rebounds and 4 assists per game for Houston last season. I have talked a lot about Caidyn during the Fall. Due to being able to watch her play in all 4 Memphis Fall Leagues. She is consistent. By that I mean, she is consistent in impacting the game. Caidyn can score, distribute, rebound, play with the ball in the hands and play off the ball. Whatever is necessary for the team.

#12 Point Guard. Tarrin averaged 12.9 points and 5.4 assists per game for Memphis Business Academy last season. Tarrin played in one of the Memphis Fall Leagues and showed her 3 point shooting and abilities to find teammates. I attended her team's 1st game in the MLK Tournament. She didn't start the game. When she entered the game, her team was down 24-17. Having her on the floor made such an impact, that when she entered the game, the game turned around and they won. This season she will have help in the point guard spot, which will give her the opportunity to play off the ball and in a scorer role.

#19 High Energy Guard. Dallas averaged 13.7 points, 3.5 steals and 2.7 rebounds per game for Overton last season. Dallas is very good at attacking the paint and finishing at the basket. She can knock down the 3 ball also. Defensively, she is quick and can be a nightmare for a ball handler. No fast break is safe because Dallas does not quit on a play even if the play is headed to the other end. She can quickly get back and disrupt the fast break.

#20 Stretch Rebounding Post. Kallie averaged 13.6 points and 10 rebounds per game for Arlington last season. She transferred to Houston. The transition seems to be going very well for her. She has definitely showed me that she is more than a rebounder and that she is a scoring post also. She has already had a 27 point scoring game this season.

#23 Bucket Getter. Leanna averaged 11.6 points, 2.5 assists and 2.6 rebounds last season for BTW. She is the only Top 25 player that I did not see during Fall League action or in a preseason game. The MLK tournament was my first time watching her play. She didn't start the game and I could tell how anxious she was to get on the floor. When she finally got in the game, it was immediate impact. She brought the ball down the floor. She got on the floor after loose balls. She found teammates. She created for herself to get buckets. She shot a pull up. She shot from the 3. She brought a lot of energy and confidence to her teammates.
