Ledford got stronger as the game went on especially in Buford's full court pressure defense where she came up with numerous steals and converted the easy two herself or found an open teammate. Ledford is an excellent shooter but did most of her work in the paint in this game. She was very effective driving to the middle and shooting over her defender after a head fake and equally as good pushing the ball in transition beating her defender down the floor. She scored several uncontested layups on the fast break. She took over the game in the second half for the Wolves.

Fields had a very strong performance for Buford impacting the game on both ends of the floor finishing with a double-double. Fields did a good job getting downhill and attacking the basket on offense. Fields also showed the ability to knockdown the midrange jumper. She was very active on the offensive boards getting multiple rebounds and either converted putback layups or got fouled and went to the line. Fields played as hard as anyone on the court. She dove on the ground for loose balls on several occasions.

Mincey had a great night in the paint, rebounding the ball well on both offense and defense. The freshman did a nice job finishing around the rim and was perfect from the free throw. Mincey has good size and strength, and showed physicality finishing through contact and drawing fouls.

Heywood was on fire out of the gate, scoring 13 points in the opening quarter and finishing with 19 points in the first half. She knocked down multiple contested threes with a hand in her face. Heywood did a nice job showing patience on offense before attacking the defense. She has a high level of maturity in her decision-making with the ball. She did not force shots and rarely was to blame for any turnovers. Heywood used her size effectively shielding off on-ball defenders running the point and had good vision finding open teammates.

Reid made her impact felt all over the court. She has very good size and athleticism as a post player. She used her speed all night long sprinting up and down the court. Reid showed good hands catching passes in traffic and quickly scoring from close range. She played with great effort and competed hard and was rewarded with second chance points. She initiated contact around the basket on offense drawing fouls and was perfect from the free throw line. Reid used her length well to alter shots on defense.

Taylor provided a big spark off the bench for Collins Hill knocking down a three-point shot and a tough floater from the baseline. She handled the ball well for a young player dealing with Buford's pressure. Taylor could play a bigger role for the Eagles down the stretch as she gets more experience.
