[player_tooltip player_id='777232' first='Melina' last='Snoozy'] is putting together some impressive showings this season for her Junior year. Snoozy, the future P4 commit, has been lighting up the score boards offensively while being a sound defender for one of the top 4A teams throughout the state. Snoozy has tied the scoring record for a single game with 40 just a few weeks ago but that's not what's leading her play. What's guiding her is her all around play-making ability. Yes, she is scoring a lot right now but that is coming off of her motion while she is running, from her screening action away from the ball, and from her understanding of when to move into what spots on the floor physically. Hopefully she can keep this momentum moving into the Playoffs as they look to make a big run with this group once more before some of their top dawgs leave the program due to graduation.

[player_tooltip player_id='880903' first='Addie' last='McLaughlin'] has proven again this season already. that she is as good as advertised. McLaughlin is a crafty facilitator as a starting PG with a heck of a shooting strap from deep. McLaughlin is one of those PG's that you can give the ball too and you can trust that she will make the right choices with it every time without question. She can control pace of the game when she has it in her possession, she understands how to use her step through ability off of two feet once she is in the kill zone of the defense, and she isn't afraid to light the nets on the fire when her team needs some scoring. All of this stuff has been McLaughlin's MO this Winter. She has had some other step up to help but she is going to keep more of that if they want to make a run following their regular season.

[player_tooltip player_id='777226' first='Maryn' last='Franken'] is coming off of a big game, that helped her team get a victory over a well-known program from a surrounding state. Franken hasn't been someone making crazy stat lines this Winter but she has been efficient in her efforts. She has been making plays for her Sioux Center team, averaging respectable numbers across the board in several positive statistical categories. Sioux Center is a group to watch out for. When the Playoffs start, anything goes and this is a team that knows how to win during the Post season. As for Franken, I expect steady numbers out of her to finish this season off and then she will carry that into AAU ball with her Sanford team on the road.

Along side of [player_tooltip player_id='777232' first='Melina' last='Snoozy'] and having a really good Senior season is [player_tooltip player_id='582806' first='Trishelle' last='Miller'] for Bishop Heelan High School. Miller is shifty, nasty with the dribble in short spaces, ferocious on defense, and she is always willing to get onto the floor for a loose ball whenever those opportunities present themselves. Miller has also registered some impressive stat lines over all this Winter for the Crusaders in their hunt for a 4A State Title. This group has the D1 fire power to really run the table if they play their cards right and some things fall their way over the next few months. They need to stay locked in at one game at a time and who knows how far they could take things.

We should be seeing Carlisle High School at the State Tournament in Des Moines, Iowa in a few short months and that is basically because of the play of their star - [player_tooltip player_id='502100' first='Macy' last='Comito']. Comito, the future Iowa State Cyclone's WBB, is giving teams all they can handle as a predator on the hardwood. She is attacking relentlessly towards the bucket at all times, never taking her foot of the gas and she is helping her team do whatever is needed so that they can win the game in the end. Which is all that really matters. Everyone knows that you need multiple prospects to step up come Playoff time so we will see who their 2 - 3 others will be. They have some others around that can do some things, they just need to play with confidence and make it happen now.
