There is a difference between taking contact and wanting to create contact. In this game, at most levels, it pays to be the aggressive player that is willing to sacrifice their body for the good of the team. Here are four Contract Driven Players, that aren't afraid to get to the line to knock down some easy buckets from the free throw line.

Thanks for tuning in and enjoy!

[player_tooltip player_id='920715' first='Emily' last='Tanny'] might only be a Freshman this season but she has been competing like a veteran in multiple facets of the game. Tanny, a 6'1 CG, knows how to initiate contact, how to finish at the line, and how to use her size to her advantage in almost any given situation. Tanny is leading her team in PPG and RPG throughout their first 16 games (12-4) and I'm sure that will stay consistent until the year comes to an end. She has gotten to the line for 114 attempts so far, ultimately making 79% of those shots (90), proving that she is someone that you can't foul at the end of a game as a cop out. If she gets hit, she usually converts in one way or another, with or without contact. Which is what you love to see out of a hooper that is only in her first year of Varsity ball.

If you are looking at Iowa Falls-Alden High School and when they have success, it usually correlates with [player_tooltip player_id='1217348' first='Elody' last='England'] having a good game. England is their team's driving force as a SG/PG. Literally and metaphorically. England is leading her team with near 20 PPG, she is bringing in right around 8 RPG, and she is dishing out the most APG with 3.3 as we move into the month of February. England does so well offensively because she knows how to get hit and how to get to the line. She is one of the state's top free throw shooters in makes/attempts because she is the type that won't take no for an answer. Once she knows the defenses weakness, she stays on that and works it until the end of the contest. England thrives through contact and that is not something you can say about most.

[player_tooltip player_id='560333' first='Kendra' last='Boatman'] has proven that she is superior skill-wise compared to her competition at the high school level over the past four years. There is no other way to put it. Boatman can do whatever she wants on that side of the ball so it's nice to see that she is willing to get to the line, instead of only launching three's or bad attempts from the outside. Anyone else would take it easy and just shoot from deep but not Boatman. She gives it to her opponents at every level offensively, which is something you LOVE to see. All in all, Boatman is going to be a stud for Cornell in college across the board. She is talented enough to play right away if she continues to work on her weaknesses this off-season. She just needs to stay motivated and the rest will be history.

[player_tooltip player_id='832211' first='Cora' last='Sauer'] is one of the newest members to the 1,000 point club at the Varsity level as she completed that feat earlier this week. Sauer, a 5'8 SG, is usually the type that you would considered a catch and shoot prospect overall but she has demonstrated this season that she can get to the hoop off the dribble and finish through contact. When looking at the state list for some of the top free throw shooters, Sauer finds herself within the Top 40, no matter the age or Class level. There is a lot to like about Sauer and her game. She doesn't seem to settle but she can make it rain from the outside if need be. That's an ability a lot of college coaches would love to have on their bench one day.
