PGH Peach Games: 15U Frontcourt Forces From Day Two

With five events taking place around the country, the first weekend of May was a busy one for the Prep Girls Hoops Circuit.    In addition to get-togethers occurring in Texas, Wisconsin and Minnesota, it was also Peach Games weekend in Georgia. A number of venues were utilized – including Next Play 360, Marietta HS and MS, Etowah HS and New Manchester HS.    A larger field meant a greater number of prospects having the opportunity to showcase their skills. Among the number of 15U teams that were on hand, a great deal of them had their efforts led by their frontcourt forces. We spotlight them here.     Dawsey is the lone representative for 7A Dothan on this year's ABM Elite 15U and she proudly represented her Wolves on Saturday in Georgia. She was one of the key catalysts for her team as it put together a dominant victory over Kentucky Elite 15U. She stands at an even six feet and possesses the speed and quickness of many a point guard. Dawsey also displays the toughness coaches look for out of their frontcourt players considering the high amount of contact that they take. She will also display offensive versatility with her willingness to attempt shots from either the midrange or long range.     Means means plenty of problems for the competition. ABM Elite 15U put together a dominant victory over Kentucky Elite 15U on Saturday in large part because of its interior scorers. Means was one of those as she consistently watches where the ball is on every play. She stands at 5-foot-9 and her rim-attacking capabilities certainly are more indicative of someone who thrives as a three forward. Opposing offenses have to be on point against Means as her defense enables her take advantage of those miscues and turn those into offensive opportunities for her and her team. Means is the lone representative from 1A Division 2 Early County on this season's ABM Elite 15U group.     Both of Kentucky Elite 15U's contests on Saturday took place during the morning. Smith was one of the notable names for the Bluegrass State-based team. She can establish herself as an interior scorer from the three but also can display ball-handling skills that are more indicative of a point guard. Smith also understands the importance of drawing contact that can give her team opportunities at the free throw line. The ability to attempt 3-point shots, rebounding and efficient floor running are other positive attributes to Smith's game. Smith is listed at 5-foot-7 and represents Central Hardin on this year's Kentucky Elite 15U team.     As Saturday's matchup between Lola Bunnie's Basketball Club 15U and Carolina Playmakers 15U progressed, Julmeus managed to display more aggressiveness with the ball which made things difficult on the North Carolina-based assembling's defense. Julmeus does know when the right times are to score and when the right times are to distribute. She will find attacking lanes to the rim and utilizes her shiftiness and speed to confuse defenders and finish strong at the cup. Julmeus also thrives as a transition playmaker and displays her toughness with her willingness to fall to the floor to complete a play. Getting to the free throw line is another positive element to her game.     A team's chances of winning are very good with Berry. Lola Bunnie's Basketball Club began their Peach Games weekend with a pair of emphatic wins over [program_tooltip program_id='715526' first='Team' last='Passion'] 15U and Carolina Playmakers 15U. Versatility is the hallmark of her game considering she can give a team worthwhile minutes at either of the guard spots in the backcourt or by playing at the three. Opposing defenses have to watch for if she will attempt to attack the rim or if she will try a 3-point attempt. Making plays in the transition game is another positive attribute to Berry's game. She is representing Jordan Christian Prep on this year's Lola Bunnie's Basketball Club 15U roster.     One must keep an eye out for this skilled guard from the Chattanooga area. Queener is a talented two guard for Baylor – a team that finished its 2025-26 season with a record of 18-11. She played in 17 games this past season for the Red Raiders and her performance at Peach Games Saturday is an indication that number will go up. Queener can effectively operate as either a two guard or at the point. If she corrals an offensive rebound, one can count on Queener turning that into two points. She possesses plenty of speed and quickness and has no problems drawing contact to get to the free throw line.     Once Goins gets going, it is hard to stop her. Goins is an imposing 6-foot-3 and is only a freshman. She already understands how to use every single bit of that height to her advantage. One way she does so is through her rebounding. Goins was one of the more skilled rebounders of the day among the 15U field. When she has the ball in her hands in the interior, it is very likely that will lead to a high-percentage shot and possibly an and-one opportunity. Goins was part of a Sale Creek team that concluded its 2025-26 season with a solid record of 25-9 – a seven-win improvement over the Panthers' 2024-25 version.     Anderson stood out among the roster for God's Timing Elite 15U. Even though her team's Peach Games Saturday commenced with a pair of losses, Anderson still put forth a win-worthy performance against [program_tooltip program_id='715526' first='Team' last='Passion'] 15U. Anderson is listed primarily as a point guard but can be placed in a team's lineup of five either at the three or in the backcourt as a two. The freshman would compete in 12 of 6A Lakeland's games this season and was part of a Dreadnaughts team that concluded its 2025-26 season with a record of 18-10. This past season's Lakeland bunch was very young as Anderson was one of its seven freshmen.     Dixon is a multi-sport athlete who also competes in flag football alongside her basketball achievements. She was one of our Top Performers from the first day of Peach Games action and returned for more on Saturday. At 5-foot-10, one would expect Dixon to primarily play as a three or a four. That she does, but she can also operate on the outside as she has a 3-point shot as part of her offensive repertoire. A standout representing 4A Blessed Trinity, Dixon was the lone freshman name on this past season's Titans team. Blocking shots and collecting steals are two other positive attributes of Dixon's game.     Wyse brings plenty of hoops wisdom with her to the hardwood. Versatile frontcourt forces are a reason why [program_tooltip program_id='923819' first='Redline' last='Basketball Club'] was one of the more dangerous groups among the 15U field. Wyse may spend time at the three but especially thrives as a combo guard. Her rim-attacking capabilities are a testament to this reality. Wyse's abilities as a rebounder only compliment what she does as a scorer and she displays lots of toughness with her willingnss to draw contact to get to the free throw line. This past season, she was a freshman at 3A North Hall and was one of four from the class of 2029 who sported Trojans green.     LaMark remains on the mark. Listed at 5-foot-8, she can find time in a team's lineup as either a two guard or a three forward, meaning she can spend plenty of time at the wing. LaMark has the ability to connect on her tries either from midrange or long range. The ability to finish strong at the rim after she attacks the rim is another positive element to her game. Defensively, she uses her length to her advantage to block an opposing team's passing lanes. LaMark recently completed her freshman season at 6A Denmark and was one of two from the class of 2029 on this past season's Great Danes team.
