The first live period of the 2026 travel basketball season took place last month. Said live periods are always anticipated events on the AAU basketball calendar and there happened to be one that would take place the ensuing month.

A number of states – including North Carolina, Louisiana, Georgia, and Arizona all hosted live period events. With as much talent as there is in South Carolina, one had to expect that Palmetto State prospects would certainly put forth stellar performances in front of college coaches.

That was indeed the case – and a number of those names play at either the three, four or five. We spotlight a number of those notables here in our recap of this past weekend's live period.

FBC Reign 2027 GUAA departed from Georgia's LakePoint Sports Complex having gone 4-0 for the weekend. One of those victories occurred over West Virginia Thunder S40 where Foley contributed a double-double of 11 points and 10 rebounds in addition to four assists. FBC Reign 2027 GUAA's schedule is set to resume in July when they will be one of the many teams to do battle in this year's Run 4 The Roses in Louisville. Foley would play in 19 games this past season for an Ashley Ridge team that were 5A Division 1 Lower State semifinalists in 2025-26. She averaged 12.3 points, 8.6 rebounds and 2.5 steals per contest.

We move from one notable name for 5A Ashley Ridge to another. Boatwright was part of a [program_tooltip program_id='988463' first='Mosch' last='Ball'] bunch that departed from the Atlantic City Showcase 4-0. One of those games occurred against NYC Lady Bulldogs. [program_tooltip program_id='988463' first='Mosch' last='Ball'] prevailed by a final tally of 58-33 in large part thanks to 17 points placed on the scoreboard by Boatwright. Her solid play throughout the high school season led to another stellar campaign put forth by Ashley Ridge. Boatwright competed in 18 games this past season for the Swamp Foxes and averaged 9.7 points, 6.1 rebounds and 1.4 steals per contest.

Seegars and her SC Future 17U bunch made the westbound trek to Georgia for this past weekend's Live At Lakepoint event. Her team departed from the Peach State having gone 3-1. Seegars' consistency was a major reason for SC Future 17U's successful weekend in northwest Georgia. In her team's first game against Florida Nation E32, she contributed 11 points, nine steals and five rebounds. On Saturday, she put together a nine-point, six-rebound, three-steal performance against FGB South Florida. Seegars then followed it up with an 11-point, eight-rebound, three-assist, two-block showing against FBC Havoc. Seegars played in 22 games this past season for a 4A Camden team that finished with a 23-4 record and an Upper State semifinal appearance.

There is plenty of intrigue around North Augusta's program as the question of who will replace Al Young as head coach has been a hot topic in CSRA sports circles. Regardless, Walker is showcasing exactly she has won three state championships during her time as a Yellow Jacket. [program_tooltip program_id='783909' first='Palmetto' last='76ers/A'ja Wilson Elite'] finished 3-2 for Nike EYCL Session 2 in New Orleans. One of those victories was a 61-55 victory over Winners United 17U EYCL. Walker would lead all point-getters for [program_tooltip program_id='783909' first='Palmetto' last='76ers/A'ja Wilson Elite'] with 16 points. Last season's MaxPreps South Carolina Player of the Year averaged 17.7 points, 3.7 rebounds, 2.7 steals and 2.2 assists while competing in all 29 contests for North Augusta.

Speaking of multi-time state champions, McCray has achieved that same distinction with the Stags of 5A Division 2 Berkeley. McCray has competed at the varsity level since she was a seventh grader and played in all 28 games this past season for coach Crystal Peace's Stags. She contributed 13 points in that 61-55 victory that [program_tooltip program_id='783909' first='Palmetto' last='76ers/A'ja Wilson Elite'] achieved to defeat Winners United 17U EYCL. Ten of her 13 points were tallied in the second half. McCray is a multi-sport athlete who also has played volleyball in addition to her basketball pursuits. She averaged nine points, 8.2 rebounds and 1.7 steals this past season for Berkeley.

[program_tooltip program_id='783909' first='Palmetto' last='76ers/A'ja Wilson Elite'] 17U's versatility enabled the team to finish 3-2 at Session 2 in New Orleans. One would be hard-pressed to find a talent more versatile than this veteran star hailing from the Pee Dee. In that 61-55 victory over Winners Elite 17U, Murray helped her team's cause with 13 points. Out of the 13 she placed on the scoreboard, seven occurred in the first half. Murray led 4A Wilson to another solid campaign in 2025-26 as the Tigers finished 20-5 and only dropped two games in its region. Murray averaged 13.1 points, 6.7 rebounds and 2.9 steals per contest in the 20 games this past season at Wilson.

Every point mattered last weekend in New Orleans when [program_tooltip program_id='783909' first='Palmetto' last='76ers/A'ja Wilson Elite'] earned its most competitive victory of Nike Session 2. That was the 61-55 win its earned over Winners United 17U EYCL. Britt aided the [program_tooltip program_id='783909' first='Palmetto' last='76ers/A'ja Wilson Elite'] 17U cause with nine points. Five of Britt's nine points – including three free throws – were scored in the second half of play. Britt's addition this past season to coach Brandon Wallace's 4A Gray Collegiate team paid massive dividends for the War Eagles. She led Gray Collegiate in scoring and rebounding this past season, averaging a double-double of 19 points and 10.5 boards plus 1.7 steals in 2025-26. The War Eagles are moving up to 5A starting with the 2026-27 season.
