The offseason is not only a time for travel basketball and recruiting. It also a portion of the schedule where many a name will be on the move as they bring their talents to a new school.

As May transitions into June and the grassroots hoops schedule transitions into June's camp month, there are a number of names across South Carolina that are intending to move to new schools. One can expect this list to grow as we inch closer and closer to the beginning of the 2026-27 academic year.

Here is our initial list of names that one will see in a different uniform than what they wore throughout their respective 2025-26 campaigns.

A two-sport athlete who also plays soccer, Elliott has been integral in the rise of 5A West Ashley over the past several seasons. With her senior season looming, Elliott is substituting one purple jersey for another one – that of defending SCISA 4A champion First Baptist. The move gives the Hurricanes one of the most dangerous backcourts of any school – private or public – in the Palmetto State. Elliott competed in 23 games in 2025-26 for a Wildcats team that finished 16-10. She would average 12.9 points, 5.5 steals, four rebounds and 3.8 assists. Elliott has been running with [program_tooltip program_id='988463' first='Mosch' last='Ball'] throughout the spring travel ball months.

Much of Sapp's high school career has been spent wearing the green and gold of 4A Aiken. Following a season with another 4A assembling in North Augusta where she helped the Yellow Jackets continue its dynasty with another state championship, Sapp will once again sport a Green Hornets uniform as she transitions to junior status. Sapp gave a major boost to the Yellow Jackets' efforts in last season's 4A state game against Westside as her 15 points helped North Augusta to a 63-50 victory at Colonial Life Arena. Sapp has played at the varsity level since she was an eighth grader and averaged 11.3 points, 5.7 rebounds, 3.5 steals, 2.4 assists and 1.3 blocks in her most recent season at Aiken which was when she was a freshman.

So far, fewer teams across the Palmetto State have been hit harder by what one would call a transfer portal more than Pickens. The Blue Flame will move from the 4A ranks to 3A as 2026-27 will be Pickens' first season in 3A since 2015-16. Hardin is one of two formerly at Pickens that will bring their talents to Daniel – another team moving from 4A to 3A. Hardin would play in all 24 contests last season for the Blue Flame while averaging 12.1 points, 7.6 rebounds and 3.1 steals per game. Coach Cosandar Griffin's Lions have been known more for their guard play but having a veteran frontcourt force like Hardin will surely continue Daniel's status as one of the toughest outs in the state as they move back to 3A. Hardin was also one of several team captains last year for Pickens.

Mitchum is another that will trade Pickens threads for those of Daniel. Mitchum has ran with FBC [program_tooltip program_id='1248511' first='Amp' last='Elite'] Red on the travel circuit and was the Live at LakePoint event during May's live period. Throughout her athletic career, Mitchum has also competed in volleyball. Mitchum would play in all 24 games last season for the Blue Flame. She would average 12.6 points, 5.3 rebounds, 4.6 steals and 3.8 assists in 2025-26 at Pickens. Mitchum was one of two from the class of 2030 on last season's Blue Flame squad and is set to be another worthwhile addition to coach Cosandar Griffin's Lions.

Moldovan is the second of those two eighth graders from last season's Pickens team. Unlike Hardin or Mitchum, Moldovan will be bringing her many hoops talents to the Red Devils of 2A Liberty. Moldovan is another FBC product. Moldovan would play in all 24 games last season for a Blue Flame team that experienced improved fortunes throughout its 2025-26 season. Pickens improved to 12 wins following a forgettable six-win campaign in 2024-25 (with no wins in region). She would average 12 points, 2.8 assists, 2.8 rebounds and 2.3 steals in 2025-26 for Pickens. Liberty has been a team in recent seasons that has played its best basketball against region foes following struggles throughout its non-region slate. Moldovan can help greatly in turning that tide for the Red Devils.

The offseason is not only a time for travel basketball and recruiting. It also a portion of the schedule where many a name will be on the move as they bring their talents to a new school.
