JSE Team Camp: Difference Makers on Display

The JSE Team Camp brought out a strong collection of talent, but the players who truly separated themselves were the ones who did more than just show skill. They changed the game.   From the opening matchups, the gym was filled with energy, toughness, and competitive fire. Prospects stepped onto the floor with something to prove, and several made it clear they were not just there to participate — they were there to make a statement. These were the players who created momentum, made winning plays, and impacted the game in ways that showed up beyond the stat sheet.   The difference makers at JSE stood out because of their ability to affect multiple areas of the game. Some brought instant offense, knocking down shots, attacking the rim, and creating scoring opportunities when their teams needed a spark. Others controlled the tempo, handled pressure, and made the right reads as floor generals. The guards who played with pace, poise, and confidence helped set the tone for their teams.   On the defensive end, several prospects made their presence felt in a major way. They applied pressure, jumped passing lanes, forced turnovers, and made ball handlers uncomfortable. She does not just defend — she creates chaos. Loose balls, passing lanes, pressure situations — Green attacks them all with urgency and toughness.   What made her performance stand out even more was the way she paired that defensive edge with offensive ability. Green handled the ball with confidence, played under control, and showed she could see the floor in transition just as well as she could in the half court. Once she got a step, it was over. Her burst off the dribble allowed her to get by defenders and put pressure on the defense in a hurry.   Green is the type of guard who brings momentum with her. One hustle play can spark a run. Josephine McKeithen made a strong impression at the JSE Team Camp with her toughness, footwork, and presence around the rim. The 2029 North Vermilion High School prospect showed she can impact the game with her back to the basket and bring value on both ends of the floor.   McKeithen was effective inside because of how well she used her footwork. She did a good job creating space, staying balanced, and working for quality looks around the basket. When she got touches in the paint, she showed patience and the ability to finish near the rim instead of rushing the play.   What stood out was her comfort playing through contact. McKeithen battled inside, held her position, and gave her team a reliable interior option. She showed the ability to score around the basket while also competing on the glass and making things difficult defensively.   On the defensive end, McKeithen brought a solid presence. She competed in the paint, challenged plays, and used her size and positioning to help protect the interior. Her activity on both ends made her a valuable piece throughout the event.   Josephine McKeithen left the JSE Team Camp as a 2029 prospect with strong post tools, good footwork, finishing ability, and the kind of two-way presence coaches like to see from a young frontcourt player. The 2027 point guard out of Midland showed that she is one of those players defenses cannot afford to lose track of, because once she gets clean looks, she can light it up quickly.   Primeaux is a true scoring threat from multiple levels. She has the ability to knock down the outside three, pull up in the midrange, and score inside when she gets downhill. That type of versatility makes her tough to guard because defenders have to respect every part of her offensive game.   What stood out most was her confidence as a shooter. Primeaux does not hesitate when the ball finds her hands. She steps into shots with rhythm, stays ready on the perimeter, and can punish defenses that give her too much space. Her shooting range forces defenders to stay attached, which opens up opportunities for her to attack off the bounce.   She also showed the ability to keep pressure on the defense by mixing up her scoring. If opponents run her off the line, she can put the ball on the floor and create. If they sag off, she can make them pay from deep. That balance gives her value as a guard who can stretch the floor and create offense.   Primeaux's JSE Team Camp performance was a clear reminder: give her space, and she will make you regret it. The 2030 guard out of Hicks stepped up in a major way and gave her team exactly what it needed to pull out the win.   Addison was strong with the ball in her hands and showed she could handle pressure without getting rushed. She stayed composed, protected the ball, and used her strength to get downhill when the defense tried to speed her up. Her ability to attack off the bounce allowed her to put constant pressure on the defense.   What stood out was her midrange game. Addison showed confidence getting to her spots, rising into pull-up jumpers, and making the defense pay when they backed up. That ability to score between the three-point line and the rim gives her game a mature feel for a young guard.   She also brought the energy Hicks needed in key moments. Whether she was attacking the basket, handling pressure, or creating offense, Addison played with confidence and purpose. She did not shy away from the moment — she embraced it. The 2028 Fairview prospect proved she can impact the game in multiple ways, bringing toughness, energy, defensive intensity, and offensive confidence every time she stepped on the floor.   Smith stood out as a smart and aggressive defender. She read passing lanes, applied pressure, and turned defensive plays into transition opportunities. Her ability to create steals and immediately flip defense into offense gave her team momentum and made her a constant problem for opponents.   Offensively, Smith showed she is more than capable of making things happen. She attacked the rim with purpose, finished strong around the basket, and played with confidence when driving downhill. She also showed her ability to contribute from the perimeter, knocking down shots from behind the arc and forcing defenders to respect her range.   What made Smith's performance impressive was her all-around impact. She passed the ball, defended, scored in transition, attacked the basket, and made winning plays without needing the spotlight every possession. She played with intensity, made smart decisions, and consistently found ways to help her team.
