Mount Vernon is a stacked up program, that has A TON of skill coming through the high school ranks over the next couple of years at all different positions. Someone that we are going to hear more about as she gets older is SG – Libby Yanda. Yanda is a quick and athletic SG at 5’6. For her age group and Class she has solid size and her skill isn’t fair behind. She understands the game and she plays it in a calculated way. As long as she doesn’t over think it as she continues to grow – she is going to be someone to note throughout Iowa over the next few years if she plays her cards right. This event is going to be LOADED with talent at most position so I’m excited to see how this younger group fits in with the well-known ballers of the state. That will answer more for me than their individual scoring plays coming down the court in reality.
