Prep Girls Hoops Iowa Class 4A Preseason All-State Teams

As we near the start of the regular season, Prep Girls Hoops Iowa will now be releasing Preseason All-State teams. These selections are made based on their expected impact this season and will not include any incoming freshmen. We will release statewide All-State teams encompassing all classes as well this coming Friday afternoon. Here are the First, Second, and Third Team Prep Girls Hoops Iowa All-State selections as well as the Class 4A Preseason Player of the Year pick. <hr /> <p style="text-align: center;"><span style="font-size: 18pt;"><strong>Preseason Player of the Year: [player_tooltip player_id="128996" first="Ava" last="Hawthorne"] (Gilbert HS)</strong></span></p> The 4A PGH Iowa Preseason Player of the Year is [player_tooltip player_id="128996" first="Ava" last="Hawthorne"] of Gilbert High School. Hawthorne, a Drake commit, scored 15.9 points a game last season while adding in 3.7 steals and 3.6 assists a contest. She also grabbed over five rebounds a game. Hawthorne, the 4A Preseason Player of the Year and Drake commit, scored 15.9 points a game last season and was a leader for her team the past few years. [player_tooltip player_id="246099" first="Callie" last="Levin"], an Iowa commit, scored 19.0 points a game and added 4.0 assists per game in her freshman campaign. [player_tooltip player_id="127632" first="Jenna" last="Twedt"] scored 18.7 points a game last season and also had over 3.5 assists and steals per game. [player_tooltip player_id="63558" first="Jenna" last="Hopp"], a South Dakota State commit, scored 14.3 points per game and grabbed 7.8 rebounds a contest for Glenwood last year. [player_tooltip player_id="163322" first="Ivey" last="Schmidt"] scored 16.8 points a game last season and grabbed 6.6 rebounds a game for Grinnell. [player_tooltip player_id="107012" first="Jada" last="Williams"], a Milwaukee commit, scored 14.8 points a game and brought down 7.5 rebounds a game while passing off 4.5 assists per game. [player_tooltip player_id="127617" first="Emma" last="Miner"], a St. Thomas commit, scored 11.0 points a game last year and grabbed 4.0 rebounds a game this past season. [player_tooltip player_id="128999" first="Allie" last="Meadows"], a Western Illinois commit, scored 15.8 points a game last year and grabbed 5.3 rebounds per game. [player_tooltip player_id="163339" first="Katelyn" last="Lappe"], a Northern Iowa softball commit, scored 15.8 points a game last year will also grabbing 11.3 rebounds a game. Lappe also dished off 2.5 assists a game. [player_tooltip player_id="129004" first="Lucy" last="Schaffer"] scored 15.2 points a game last year and grabbed four rebounds a contest. She added in a few steals and assists per game as well.
