once again this season showed why she was one of the best overall players on the court at all teams throughout the state of Iowa. She put on a show on both sides of the floor on a regular basis while trying to help her team to victory. Hopp will be playing for the South Dakota Jackrabbits as a shooting guard next season, something I’m sure she has dreamed of for a long time, that will soon become reality. The Jackrabbits are getting a baller. A player who can impact the game with her skill and craftiness. She seems to play with a chip on her shoulder, helping motivate her when she is on the floor most nights. She will show this same intense-ness at the college level with hopes of continuing where she left off in her high-school career, absolutely dominate.

. Not much that you probably don’t already know at this point in her career. She is a bucket and big time playmaker for whatever team she is suiting up for. She has the ability to score all three levels while getting her teammates involved on more then a regular basis. I think everyone here is expecting a big game out of the future college stand-out and I concur. There isn’t a player on defense in my mind that can stop her at this stage in the game and I want to see that this upcoming week. I’m sure that DCG will put a longer defender on her to try to reduce her production which means that her teammates are going to need to be ready to roll when she dishes them a potential assist.

has been the definition of a senior leader for her Glenwood high school team. The Rams have started this year with a record of 11-6 throughout their first 17 games and have recorded some nice wins up to this point, some of these include against #7 Underwood high school, and #10 Lewis Central earlier on this season. Hopp, the South Dakota State Jackrabbits commit, has been scoring at a high and efficient rate in each contest while also being a monster on the glass from the combo guard position this year. She comes in ranked #2 in scoring in the 2023 class with a season total of 436 points and ranked #4 in rebounds with 226, averaging her totals out to 25.6 PPG and 13.3 RPG respectively. She has been a great high school player with a great high school career. At the next level she will be a player that a coach can plug into their system right away and see results. She is a versatile combo forward who can also step in to solely compete at the guard position when a big line-up is in play. With the successful program she will be with at the next level I anticipate that she will be transitioned solely to the 3 spot where she can have space to create for herself or others off of either the dribble or in catch and shoot situations. Something that will be fun to see in full effect.

has put together an impressive stat line while leading her team to an overall 6-2 record. Hopp, the South Dakota State women’s basketball commit, is currently averaging 26 PPG and 14 RPG, all coming from the guard position. A major contributor to her success would be her athletic build accompanied with a really quick first step against her defenders. She has done a good job this season working with what the opponents are giving her while rebounding like crazy. Coming off of a big win against a top 10 team last time they competed, the Glenwood Rams will aim to keep up their momentum and finish this season on a high note going into the playoffs. While playing in a major 4A class, it is going to be interesting to see where the Rams land once the playoff rankings come out in a few weeks. This is a team that is built from the inside-out and that could really surprise some teams if they don’t take them seriously in the long run.

was the undeniable leader of Glenwood High School last season on the way to state where they fell just short of winning it all. She will return this season in a similar position but with much more asked of her, as they have graduated a good amount of players from a year ago. The South Dakota State women’s basketball commit will be in charge of running the offense and responsible for a good amount of the scoring her team will need to do this season to propel them into a favorable position as the playoffs approach. When it comes to the best point guard in the 4A class there are a lot of good players to consider but if you pair her basketball skill set, what she has done previously, and the work she has put in going into her senior year, she has done everything to put herself in a position to shine once again. Making herself and her teammates better each game.

. Jenna returns for her senior season after averaging 16.9 PPG, 6.6 RPG, and 4.2 APG. Leading her Glenwood High School to a 20-5 overall record, undefeated conference record, and to the 4a state semi-finals. Jenna ranked #2 in the class of 4a in total assists while also shooting 43% from the field and 75% from the free throw line. The South Dakota State Jackrabbits commit is poised to come in and have another great season, hopefully ending with a state championship. With the constant work she is putting in, along with Glenwood returning some other solid pieces this upcoming season, it is a goal that is very much in reach.
