COLUMBIA CENTRAL
Columbia Central continues to get more dangerous as the season rolls along, and by the way, they won their 4th straight LCAA championship along the way. Elite players like Tadassa Brown Tadassa Brown 6'4" | C Brooklyn Columbia Central | 2022 State MI and Zoie Bamm Zoie Bamm 6'1" | C Columbia Central High School | 2023 MI have the ability to take their team very deep into the playoffs.
DETROIT RENAISSANCE
Renaissance continued their run by taking the PSL title. It’s their second championship in the last 3 years. They are one of the top defensive programs in the state and feature elite young players in Christian Sanders Christian Sanders 5'7" | PG Detroit Renaissance | 2024 State MI and Makayla Johnson Makayla Johnson 5'11" | SF Detroit Renaissance | 2024 State MI .
FRANKENMUTH
Frankenmuth continued their dominating run, winning the TVC. It’s their 41st title and they’ve won 10 out of the last 14. They even faced adversity this season with Central Michigan commit, Lexi Boyke Lexi Boyke 6'1" | PF Frankenmuth | 2023 State MI , suffering an injury. Players like Mia McLaughlin Mia McLaughlin 5'9" | SG Frankenmuth | 2024 State MI , Zoey Persails Zoey Persails 5'9" | CG Frankenmuth | 2022 State MI , and Emma Kerkau Emma Kerkau CG Frankenmuth | 2022 State MI showed continued growth in their games, stepped up, and brought home the championship.
GIBRALTAR CARLSON
Carlson took home the title in the Downriver League this season. Their leading star and leading scorer Emma Shimizu Emma Shimizu PG Gibraltar Carlson | 2022 State MI seemed to score at will at times. Players like Elyse Miller and Abby Carafelli enjoyed excellent seasons and were also critical to the team’s success.
HUDSONVILLE
The defending Division 1 state champions have rolled to an OK Red Championship. Stars like Jaci Tubergen Jaci Tubergen SG Hudsonville | 2022 State MI (who recently set the school’s all time scoring mark), Maddie Petroelje Maddie Petroelje 6'1" | SF Hudsonville | 2023 State MI , and Alaina Diaz Alaina Diaz 5'7" | CG Hudsonville | 2022 State MI have them primed for another deep post season run this year.
KENT CITY
Kent City has rolled to yet another CSAA Silver title. They’re on an epic run that last saw them lose a conference basketball game on January 22 of 2016. Players like superstar lead guard Lexie Bowers Lexie Bowers 5'7" | CG Kent City | 2023 State MI and the versatile do-it-all Madelyn Geers Madelyn Geers 5'9" | SG Kent City | 2024 State MI have been lights out for the team this season.
LAKE FENTON
Lake Fenton won the Metro League – Stars Division championship. This team is absolutely loaded with talent with Kerrigan Howdeshell Kerrigan Howdeshell PG Lake Fenton | 2022 State MI , Amaya Smith Amaya Smith PG Powers Catholic | 2024 State MI , Savannah “SJ” Fellenbaum Savannah “SJ” Fellenbaum 6'0" | SF Lake Fenton | 2024 State MI , and Makenna Clement Makenna Clement 6'1" | PF Lake Fenton | 2023 State MI .
LESLIE
This Leslie team proved to be very special, winning a Greater Lansing Activities Conference title. Emma Smieska Emma Smieska SG Leslie | 2022 State MI had a superstar senior season, Dana Coltrain provided valuable leadsership, and Alayna Brown proved to be a dangerous sophomore.
MORRICE
Morrice has taken home the championship in the Genesee Area Conference Blue Division. This season’s title makes it back-to-back for the program. Players like break out scorer Aubrey Rogers have led the charge.
PORTLAND ST. PATRICK’S
The Portland St. Patrick’s squad brought home the Central Michigan Athletics Conference championship. Senior point guard Lydia Meredith Lydia Meredith 5'7" | PG St. Patrick's | 2022 State MI led the way with her scoring and ability to create with her floor game.
SPARTA
Sparta has won the OK Silver. They were led by impressive players like the steady and efficient Makayla Hatchew Makayla Hatchew 5'5" | PG Sparta | 2024 State MI and Bella Vallone who has shown a nice scoring punch this season.
