Macy Marraccini Macy Marraccini 5'5" | PG Broken Arrow | 2025 State OK | Point Guard | OK Swift 2025 | 2025
Of all the point guards I saw, and I saw plenty, Macy probably was the best at shifting gears and keeping the ball on a string. I say that not just talking about the 15U division, I mean any division I was able to see. Her ability to combine change of speed and change direction allowed her to get to the basket with ease. She would get into the lane, draw additional defenders and then kick out to her teammates for open shots. She’s a smooth point guard that handles pressure well, remains calm and poised during adversity, can finish in the paint, make the three-ball, and make great decisions in the open court.
Preslee Harsock | Point Guard | Team Griffin Elite 2025 – Wernli | 2025
Preslee is one of the best athletic point guards I saw in the 15U division. This lefty has an athletic build with speed that allows her to race down the court. She’s a throwback point guard that looks to keep the team running and organized on both ends of the floor. She gets teammates involved either in the half-court or in transition and can finish at the rim. Defensively she knows how to use her athletic ability to her advantage. She stays disciplined when defending the ball and forces the offense to have to work to beat her off the dribble.
N’Kiyah Burge | Forward | Lions Elite Gold 2025 | 2025
I’ve seen N’Kiyah play several times over the course of the spring at Prep Girls Hoops events. Each time I keep seeing the same thing. Which is a good thing because she’s being consistent with her play. The athletic forward can play and defend multiple positions. She can get the defensive rebound and initiate the break herself or make the outlet and sprint the floor looking for the return pass or to get position to snag the offensive rebound for the putback. She can also play through contact on offense and still finish plays. Defensively she has quick feet and be physical without being overly aggressive and picking up too many fouls.
Brianna Jones | Guard | Lions Elite Gold 2025 | 2025
Brianna is a player that can play either guard position. Whatever you need from her she’ll give it to you. If you need her to defend the opposing team’s wing player, she’ll do it. If you need her to facilitate and get everyone involved, she’ll do it. If you want her off the ball and looking to be more of a scorer, she can do that also. She applies great pressure defensively forcing her opponent to play at a speed and pace they are not comfortable which leads to turnovers and rushed shots. Now Brianna get out on the break where she can make plays for herself or for a teammate.
Laykin Moore Laykin Moore 5'10" | SF Mountain Home | 2025 State AR | Wing | Yanders Law 2025 | 2025
Within a few trips up and down the floor Laykin caught my eye. She has good size which gives her the ability to play multiple positions. She can post up, play out of the high post, be effective on the wing, or run the point. To be able to do that and be effective you must have the skillset and Laykin has the ability to handle the ball, get to the rim off the bounce, make the catch and shoot three-pointer, shoot the mid-range pull-up jumper, and she has great footwork on her finishes. She gives great effort on defense while defending anyone from the point guard to the post.
Josie Megehee Josie Megehee 5'10" | CG Bethel | 2025 State OK | Point Guard | OK Lady Fusion 2025 | 2025
During the championship round Josie had several skills on display. She showed her ability to attack of the catch out of triple threat or off the dribble with her ball-handling skills. She showed her athleticism and ability to make plays in the open court. Josie could beat the defense down the court with her dribble or pass ahead to her teammates for easy finishes. In the half-court, she was a handful in the pick and roll. She came off the screen quickly but with patience and vision to make the right decision either for her or for a teammate.
