There were several players that I was able to see for the first time as well as several that it was good to see again. Here are the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd teams from the event. Look for evaluations for the 2nd and 3rd teams coming the next two days.
First Team
It was my first time seeing Britiya and she showed a lot. She’s an unselfish slashing guard who can consistently get paint touches. She uses quickness and strong command of the dribble to create scoring opportunities for herself. She has a crafty bounce which made it hard for defenders to keep her out of the lane. She repeatedly broke down the defense and made great passes off the bounce anywhere on the floor. She is enough of a threat from deep to keep defenders looking to stop her drives honest. She has some untapped potential with the intangibles to really add to her game. She is a solid defender on the ball as well. A lot to like about her. She is on the radar of many DII staffs.
Jermiya did several things well during the showcase. During station work, it was easy to identify a feel for the game. Once we entered live play it was even clearer. She used quickness and long strides to penetrate the defense where she made good decisions on scoring or kicking to open teammates. She also showed a nice shot from behind the arc knocking in at least one in all live segments I watched her in. She was arguably the best on-ball defender at the event as well. She picked multiple ball-handlers and really used her long arms to get her hands on passes causing turnovers.

Danielle opened up many eyes at the event, including mine. Speaking with a few of the college coaches in attendance, she made an impression. She has the true stretch-forward game. She is a capable perimeter scorer with the strength to muscle smaller defenders and a strong first step to get many interior players on her hip with one dribble. She is a catch-and-shoot threat which requires defenders to leave the paint when guarding her. She gives you everything needed on the inside as well. A consistent rebounder, physical defender, and contact finisher. Coaches making the effort to check her out this season will likely leave pleased they made the trip.
If you were only to watch Jessica off the court you would probably never assume she has the court presence that she does. She has a very mild-mannered and reserved personality, but she is far from that on the floor. Jessica truly just understands how to play the game. I gave her a brief look at each station and there were very few if any deficiencies at this point in her career. She has a ton of skill around the rim and has a very quick jump making it easy for her to grab defensive and offensive rebounds alike. She plays well through contact and if the foul is not called she does not complain, but instead. uses that quick jump to get a second look. Although she better serves a team at the forward spot she can anchor a defense on the inside with good rim protection and inside scoring. It likely comes as no surprise that she was the best player in the gym at the event.
Here are the 2nd and 3rd teams from the event.
