This was St. Timothy’s first appearance in league play and Aryss immediately showed why she is a candidate for IAAM player of the year. She was dominant on both sides of the ball, using her speed and athleticism to control the game. She finished with 25 points and 12 rebounds in one of the best performances in the league so far.
Amora turned in a solid overall performance. She was scrappy on defense, coming up with multiple steals and deflections and shot the ball well. She showed off her range, going 3-5 from beyond the arc and finished with a game high 14 points. She picked up CIAA offer for her work.
Shayla is a strong on ball defender and she displayed that in this game against Pikesville. She has good footwork and is not afraid of physical play,so she is able to frustrate ball handlers with her pressure. She also chipped in 8 points and 5 rebounds on the day.
Milan had a spectacular day. She led her team in scoring with 21 points and also grabbed 6 rebounds. She was intense and physical and set the tone defensively for her team. She finished with an amazing 7 blocks and 5 steals. She really stood out in every aspect of the game. She is another IAAM player of the year candidate.
Ava had a terrific summer and she showed why in week 3. Her length, athleticism and explosiveness are off the charts. She was impactful on both ends of the floor, scoring 10 points and collecting 10 rebounds on the day.
