Expert Analysis
Simmie Colson | Prep Girls Hoops Scout
Alexander has been on a tear and I mentioned last week she is one of the most improved players in the state after transforming from a back to the basket player early in her career. She’s long and athletic and she stands over the magic number yet the magic down the stretch was the number of 3 pointers she dropped to tie the game. Pressure was irrelevant, she also did a good job defending as well as rebounding and since she altered shots with her outstretched arms, she closes out her high school career with a bang as she and twin sister Kennidi will be doing damage for Tulsa

Alexander, yep their twins, has gone from a back to the basket scorer to showing she can knock down the jumper from mid to long-range in the set. She also uses her strength to overpower players, she attacks strongly and finishes after contact yet her interior defense and going after everything off the rim will be huge for the run

Alexander has continued to show that she is more than a back to the basket player. After all, she’s long and athletic, which is and always will be the base and watching her elevate around the basket to score over the outstretched arms of defenders is nice yet she’s doing the same thing, elevating, on her jumper and that too looks good while being defended, with a hand in her face. She’s also moving more fluidly on defense outside the paint, showing she can apply pressure on the ball and that, along with playing the passing lane will be some of the intangibles she’s taking with her to Tulsa

Alexander has made leaps and bounds over her career and going from primarily a back to the basket player to one that can also drop the midrange consistently as well as score off the dribble. She rebounds relentlessly on both ends of the court and her powerful finishes around the basket speaks volumes because she does it after contact also. She also defends inside the paint yet improved lateral movement have her guarding her man outside the paint as well and she will be joining her twin sister at Tulsa
