As I mentioned in a in previous article, we had a bunch of highly qualified nominees from the state of Tennessee. I’m talking about some true ballers who are always getting it done no matter what. Well ,the results are in (drum roll please)!
This year, representing the state of Tennessee is Aalyah Del Rosario Aalyah Del Rosario 6'5" | C Webb- Bell Buckle | 2023 State #5 Nation TN . She’s a burger girl! The LSU commit who plays her high school ball at Webb- Bell Buckle is a beast in the paint. The big anchor in the middle, she’s going to find ways to disrupt the game on both ends of the floor. After spending time with U18 Team USA this summer, she came back to high school ball with a bevy of tools in her tool belt. Her inside game is flawless and add that on top of her defensive acumen when it comes to blocking shots and rebounds, this girl is legit. Congrats Ms. Del Rosario! Rep the state!
I can’t stop there when naming high distinguished awards. Here is another highly touted one I would like to mention. The Naismith Awards, the most prestigious award handed on on both the high school and collegiate platform. We had two young ladies that made the mid season team of this award list. Ms. Aalyah Del Rosario Aalyah Del Rosario 6'5" | C Webb- Bell Buckle | 2023 State #5 Nation TN and Ms. Jaloni Cambridge Jaloni Cambridge 5'8" | PG Ensworth | 2024 State FL .
Aalyah is racking up awards thus far in the season, and she’s not done yet. She’s a big deal ladies and gentlemen, and I’m not talking just in stature. Being an enforcer where people have to game plan for and around you, you’re a big problem. Aalyah, keep doing what you do. We see you.
Jaloni, the junior from Ensworth is phenomenal . Been giving girls in high school the business since 8th grade (probably before). A Swiss Army knife who makes the game look easy. A multi level scoring threat who has her way on the offensive end, but is a dawg defensively. 32 minutes of hello is what you’re going to get from her. Every time she steps on the floor, it’s going to be a fight. Good luck stopping her.
Congrats to the both of you. Keep having fun out there on the court and enjoy this journey. Know the Tri-star state will always be rooting for you.
