Continue ReadingThe regular season is wrapping up next week and many teams are getting ready for post-season play. Here are some shooters that could have a big impact on their teams post-season success. Most are from teams who have a chance to make some noise and possibly a run at a state title.
Starting at the 4A level. She had made 41 threes at 39% through 17 games. Tahoma is ranked #4 in the Class 4A polls and Hassman is a big reason why. A lights out shooter from long distance who will be playing at Cal State Fullerton next season.
Highlights
Moving to the 3A level. She is a returning 1st team all league, 2nd team all state guard for a team who placed 5th last year at the state tournament. She can fill it up and after entering the tournament undefeated last year , Mead may feel like they have some unfinished business. This season they are ranked #7 in the latest 3A polls.
A solid outside scoring presence for the Bearcats. She teams up post player Julie Dalan Julie Dalan 6’3″ | C W.F.West | 2025 State WA to make for a dangerous inside out combo. W.F West is currently ranked #2 behind powerhouse Ellensburg in the Class 2A polls.
One of the best shooters and players in Class 1A. She can shoot it without much effort from well beyond the arc. She also is a great athlete who runs the floor well and rebounds well. Wapato has gotten a big boost from 2026 and 6th ranked point guard Deets Parish-Nagle this season. They are one of the dark horse teams heading into the post-season. Wapato is currently sitting at 3rd in the 1A polls.

Teams are normally focused on star forward Brynn McGaughy Brynn McGaughy 6’2″ | SF Colfax | 2025 State WA when they play Colfax and rightly so. She is a star in the making. This isn’t all that’s going on in Colfax. They are getting scoring from players like Gibb and senior Hailey Demler Hailey Demler 5’11” | SF Colfax Highschool | 2024 WA who can both shoot the rock from distance. Colfax is currently your #1A or 1B to Okanagan in the Class 2B polls. They are both undefeated heading towards the post-season.

Retrning all state and league MVP can light it up. Mossyrock is currently ranked #3 in the 1B polls. Torrey could be the player of the year in Class 1B. She is also an all state volleyball player and has signed to play for Lower Columbia College next year. For now she will be focused on going after a state title in hoops as one of the best players in 1B.
