Continue ReadingGrant is an exciting prospect. The 6’2 sophomore forward/center was instrumental in South Shore’s PSAL championship run. On offense, she understands and plays the game the right way. She is active on the boards – challenging for every 50-50 ball. On the defensive end, she is a pest. Grant doesn’t shy away from contact. She disrupts almost every attempt into the paint area. She constantly moves her feet, allowing her to stay a step ahead of her opponents. However, there are a few areas she could improve. She has to take more shots when they present themselves. Her unique frame is also something she needs to utilize. She needs to engage in more one on one action. Meaning more post ups & pick and rolls. Grant also needs to attack the paint and shoot her 15-footers more. She has the tools to succeed, but is still a few alterations away. Grant will continue her development this summer with Castle Athletics. She is one to keep an eye on.
