Dayton Flyers Team Camp- Underclassmen

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Here is the first of two stories breaking down some of the top players who I saw at the University of Dayton Team Camp last weekend. Today a look at 5 underclassmen and tomorrow, I will talk about several upperclassmen who look to carry the momentum over into the new season in November.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='861205' first='Mya' last='Eckstein'], Marion Local 2027</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Plays with some solid composure for being only a freshman. Mya is a player who isn't afraid to compete against the upperclassmen and distributed the ball well, knowing where to be on the floor. Look for a chance to compete and contribute this winter. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>Zoe Howard, Bellbrook 2026</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>As she gains experience, her game will grow. Good court sense, and she is a player who will have to increase her role this year I believe with the loss of a lot of firepower at the guard spot. She played with good leadership and will continue to improve. Good court vision and solid handles. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='537542' first='Jeniya' last='Bowers'], Africentric 2026</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>They say the sky is the limit for some players, well the universe is her limit. She is so talented and getting better. Super smooth guard who can play fast and score in transition. Good court vision who can make the right pass.  Excellent range. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='808268' first='Hayven' last='Carter'], Portsmouth 2027</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>She is a freshman who I think will take the SE Ohio area by storm this season. First saw her in 7th grade and she was special then. Good range and plays older than her years. Strong physical kid with moves at the rim and can play through contact. Can't wait to watch her game grow! Power 5 offers already!</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='520305' first='Sienna' last='Allen'], Portsmouth 2026</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Sienna is better than advertised, and she is another player I got to see coming up through middle school years. She already has an offer to Dayton and really stamped herself as one of their top recruits in this camp on their court. Excellent footwork, and great moves to the rim, able to create plays. She is just smooth on the court whatever she is doing. Natural leader. <em>(feature photo above)</em></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph -->
