Making any of the AAU Post Season Award-All State teams is something you should be proud of. With having a vast amount of skilled players out of this state, throughout all age levels, to be named as basically 1 of the Top 25 for an age group, for an entire AAU season speaks volumes. It shows to everyone watching out there that no matter the stage, competition level, or situation in front of the player - They WILL succeed. Below is the list of players selected to the 17U All State-Second Team for the spring/summer AAU season. Thanks for tuning in and enjoy!
<!-- wp:acf/evaluation-block {"name":"acf/evaluation-block","data":{"player_evaluations_0_player":["246099"],"_player_evaluations_0_player":"field_62ab9d62ecf2c","player_evaluations_0_override_profile_image":"","_player_evaluations_0_override_profile_image":"override-player-profile-image","player_evaluations_0_not_in_database":"","_player_evaluations_0_not_in_database":"field_62aba48cecf2d","player_evaluations_0_evaluation":"Starting off our AAU 17U Second Team All-State selections is a player that needs no introduction but I will anyways, it's [player_tooltip player_id='246099' first='Callie' last='Levin']. Levin, the Hawkeyes WBB commit and #2 ranked player out of Iowa in the 2024 class, had a nice season to finish off her last year of travel ball. Levin's game is an interesting one. She is a scoring point guard by all definitions but she usually has a big size advantage as well. This leaves her moving to the 2 or 3 positions on occasions. This spring/summer Levin had her way on the court. She did what she wanted too, when she wanted to. There wasn't many players that had the mixture of size, smarts, and skill to stay with her throughout an entire game. This selection was an easy one for myself. The player who has been fantastic over her high school career, having another great AAU season, who will soon be a point guard for the Iowa Hawkeyes after this year. It makes sense. ","_player_evaluations_0_evaluation":"field_62aba51aecf34","player_evaluations_1_player":["246121"],"_player_evaluations_1_player":"field_62ab9d62ecf2c","player_evaluations_1_override_profile_image":"","_player_evaluations_1_override_profile_image":"override-player-profile-image","player_evaluations_1_not_in_database":"","_player_evaluations_1_not_in_database":"field_62aba48cecf2d","player_evaluations_1_evaluation":"[player_tooltip player_id='246121' first='Aili' last='Tanke'] had another consistent AAU season for her [program_tooltip program_id='712377' first='All' last='Iowa Attack'] EYBL 17U team out of Des Moines. Tanke was herself. A consistent shooter from deep, a play-maker when it mattered the most, and a consistent producer on both sides of the floor. In the contests that I was there for live, she was a top three player on her EYBL team every game. I would be hard pressed to find another player with Tanke's size and skill that can help their perspective team more then she did these past few months. This spring/summer she has solidified her #1 ranking in the 2024 class, in the state of Iowa before the high school year tips-off in my opinion. How is her game going to transfer to the college level? I'm not exactly sure yet but for now, she is going to keep up the hard work and focus on this upcoming high school season that lies ahead.","_player_evaluations_1_evaluation":"field_62aba51aecf34","player_evaluations_2_player":["311360"],"_player_evaluations_2_player":"field_62ab9d62ecf2c","player_evaluations_2_override_profile_image":"","_player_evaluations_2_override_profile_image":"override-player-profile-image","player_evaluations_2_not_in_database":"","_player_evaluations_2_not_in_database":"field_62aba48cecf2d","player_evaluations_2_evaluation":"Over this past 4 months [player_tooltip player_id='311360' first='Jaeden' last='Pratt'] has received 6 Division-1 offers. I would say that's pretty good. Pratt had a successful AAU season for her [program_tooltip program_id='712595' first='Kingdom' last='Hoops'] 17U team. With a roster that houses some of the best players in the state, throughout all age groups, it can be easy to get lost in the mix but not for Pratt. She had her full arsenal on display this season to help her team to a successful overall year. My opinion of Pratt's game has changed overtime as she has grown. She was originally a lengthy player that was able to do some things here and there, then she showed offensively that she has an impressive mixture of length/skill, then she showed me that she can really handle it at her size. When you account for all these things and her constant progression in just over the past 6 months, you are talking about a completely different player. One that is more efficient and confident with the ball in her hands. This AAU season was big for Pratt, she can now take this momentum into her high school season and put together something special. Something I'm excited to see unfold. ","_player_evaluations_2_evaluation":"field_62aba51aecf34","player_evaluations_3_player":["314126"],"_player_evaluations_3_player":"field_62ab9d62ecf2c","player_evaluations_3_override_profile_image":"","_player_evaluations_3_override_profile_image":"override-player-profile-image","player_evaluations_3_not_in_database":"","_player_evaluations_3_not_in_database":"field_62aba48cecf2d","player_evaluations_3_evaluation":"[player_tooltip player_id='314126' first='Camdyn' last='Kay'] was a standout for her [program_tooltip program_id='712577' first='Iowa' last='Prep'] 17U Platinum team this spring/summer. No other way to put it. There were a handful of games in which Kay scored 20 points and had 20 rebounds, all from the guard position. This AAU season Kay has really grown into her own when it comes to the game of basketball. She is confident on the floor, a playmaker by every definition of the phrase, an athlete, and she understands game strategy. This season she was the biggest game changer for her AAU team, in most of the contests that they competed in. Over these past few months her interest has ramped up in a major way when it comes to her college recruitment. She has received calls from almost every Division-3 school in the state of Iowa, while also talking to some other Universities throughout the Midwest. Kay belongs on this second team. She was just to dominate in almost every aspect of the game this AAU season. ","_player_evaluations_3_evaluation":"field_62aba51aecf34","player_evaluations_4_player":["311351"],"_player_evaluations_4_player":"field_62ab9d62ecf2c","player_evaluations_4_override_profile_image":"","_player_evaluations_4_override_profile_image":"override-player-profile-image","player_evaluations_4_not_in_database":"","_player_evaluations_4_not_in_database":"field_62aba48cecf2d","player_evaluations_4_evaluation":"[player_tooltip player_id='311351' first='Amani' last='Jenkins'] has been a big player of conversation for myself over these past few weeks. An individual who is bringing in Division-1 offers by the truck load, is set to have a major season for Johnston high school following this summer. Jenkins is a dominate center, that can get up and down the floor in a hurry. She has good post moves with her back to the basket, while being a consistent scorer at all three levels on the offensive end of the floor. This spring/summer she has been her normal self, killing anyone who steps in the way of her and her teams success. Going into this high school season I am expecting big things from Jenkins and the Johnston Dragons. With the roster they have, the only team that should be able to beat them, is themselves, but we will have to just wait and see. As far as this AAU season goes, Jenkins killed it. She consistently showed why she is such a highly sought after prospect for colleges moving forward.
