Bridgeport is one of those programs that will always be dominant up until the State Tournament with their level of competition and their personal on roster. Their leader is 2027 –

and Brown has been keeping the ship steady so far throughout this season at the Guard spot. She is not only scoring when needed, she is making hustle plays and those plays are leading to production in the form of assists, rebounds, steals, and indirect opportunities for the those around her. I expect Brown to be another player making it to the college level one day. She will probably have to start off small and transfer after a year or two, if she wants to end up at a bigger place but the ability side of things is definitely there.

The question is not if Bridgeport will make the State Tournament. With who they play during their regular season, along with their personal on roster and it’s pretty obvious to see that this group will be in Lincoln competing for a State Title by the end year. After that though? I’m not sure how far they can go. I do know that their star SG –

will return this Winter for her Junior campaign, looking to make some magic. Brown has been someone that I’ve seen working from afar consistently all off-season so I’m excited to see what she will bring to the floor moving forward. Let’s not forget: This is a big year in the eyes of recruitment for the 2027 Class. If she can go out and do her thing, she should finish off the year with respectable individual stats, a nice overall team record with a trip to State, along with an offer or two from the collegiate level depending on who is watching.

of Bridgeport High School will be a college committed athlete in the near future if she plays her cards correctly. Brown plays the game of Basketball the right way. She knows when to take over, when to find others, and when she should try to do specific things in specific moments. With her Bridgeport team losing some of their production from last Winter due to graduation, Brown should lead their squad in a bunch of statistical categories and their team should have a good shot to make the State Tournament. Much like years past. If everyone has taken it seriously this off-season, there is a lot to like about this group. They just need to stay locked in mentally and the rest could be history.

OB is a shifty lefty with a solid shooting stroke and an act for making something happen out of nowhere when her team’s system happens to break down. Brown competes on the West side of the state of NE and that somewhat plays into her recruitment. This AAU season Brown has been an active piece with her Elite 3SSB’] team out of Omaha and that has helped her lock in her first offer to the next level from Bellevue. This maybe her first but it won’t be the last. I expect the lefty to receive offers from most D3/NAIA schools out of the Midwest before her career comes to a close. From there, she will figure out which place feels the most like home to her with the best fit. It’s always nice to have options at the end of the day and Brown should have options.

3SSB 16U team. Brown, a natural SG out of Bridgeport, Nebraska is someone that most know by now. Her team’s for high school ball go about 22-2 each season and she is always putting up impactful numbers throughout the duration of a Winter. She has taken this momentum from Winter ball and brought it with her to the travel scene, making intelligent and heads up plays on both sides of the court on a consistent basis these past few months. In her off-time, Brown is still working relentlessly on her craft. If she stays motivated, she should have a shot to compete on the college floor one day soon.

of Bridgeport High School has had an stable journey so far throughout her high school career and she is looking to put together a productive off-season so that she can come back even better for her Junior season. Brown competes at the SG spot and she is an able shooter from all three offensive levels. She can catch and shoot from deep, she gets to the bucket and finishes in a number of ways with some impressive body control, she can assist others who become open when their defender happens to help onto her, and she can be productive in other categories than scoring. She isn’t just a scorer. She has an overall well rounded game at this point in her career. If she can start to recognize in-game situations a little bit better, she is going to like how things go over the next twelve months.

Bridgeport High School is going to have a shot at an undefeated regular season once again, prior to making it to the Playoffs or State Tournament. If they take care of things how they should, it should be somewhat an easy path but you still have to play the games in front of you. Someone for this squad, that will definitely be playing college ball before you know it is SG – Olivia Brown. Brown is a lefty that has a high arching shot, that usually looks like it’s going in, no matter where she lets it go from. She competes with a bigger base than most, giving her the opportunities to play off of two feet a majority of the time. Other than being physically gifted, Brown is a student of the game. She just loves to watch ball in general it seems like and you can tell that she is always trying to learn from her mistakes. If you want it enough in this game, you’ll make it happen and that’s exactly what is going to happen here.

This was the first time I’ve had the chance to see Olivia Brown compete up close and she showed off a lot of promise. Brown competes on the western side of the state, right on the Colorado boarder, so the amount of times she makes the seven hour trip East is far and few. As a prospect, I like what Brown brings to the floor. She has the widest shooting base I’ve seen in a while, always giving herself balance. It’s a major key for PG’s to play off of two feet or to have a wide base, so that they can adapt to situations quickly and use their pivots to their max. I think that Brown embodies that. She is a lefty that can score from all three offensive levels, she is a great creator in transition, and most importantly – she plays the game the right way and with a really positive attitude. When you combined all of that, you see the promise and know there is something good here.

a handful of times this year already so I’m going to make this short and sweet. Brown is an impressive guard, that makes things work, even when the situation might not seem like the best. This past season with her Bridgeport team, she helped lead them to the State Tournament, putting up some impressive numbers in the meantime. This upcoming season, it’ll be interesting to see how she has improved her game. She usually registers stats across the board, in all categories, and I’m expecting her to build on that. She is dedicated enough to this game, so it’s definitely possible.
