Here are a few athletes out of Iowa & Nebraska that have recently received interest, been offered or they have recently committed to compete at the next level following their impressive AAU seasons this Summer.

Every player listed has shown off their skill-set over the years with their varsity high school team and that has helped them prove to recruiters that they have what it takes to suit up at the next level following their high school careers. Make sure to check them out if you have a moment on the road this next month!

Thanks for tuning in and enjoy!

[player_tooltip player_id='1921418' first='Vivienne' last='McCorkle'] is the first prospect from the 2031 Class in Iowa with a Division-1 offer. This first offer comes from The Chicago State Cougars out of the city. The rest of Iowa should be able to see McCorkle live this Winter on the Varsity floor with Bettendorf High School but that hasn't been confirmed yet. With the new rule in place that 8th graders can play up, I expect this to be one of those prospects that we hear a lot about out of the 2031 Class over the next eight months. From what we have seen so far out of McCorkle, this is a player that could grow into someone special over the next 4-5 seasons. She already makes good choices with the ball, her athletic ability is impressive for her age, and she competes with a chip on her shoulder mentality. As long as she continues to love the process, she is going to go places within this game. You can already tell.

McKendree is one of the first programs at the next level to give [player_tooltip player_id='642735' first='Aniyah' last='Boens'] a chance to compete following her high school career and if she ends up there - they won't regret it! Boens is a hard working CG/SF, that has great size for her position at 6'1. Over the last few years we have seen her show up more and more at the Varsity level. She might not be the player in which their team focuses things around but she produces in each facet of the game whenever she takes the court. Most can't handle her mixture of height and coordination as an athlete. That's why she could turn out to be a really productive player at the collegiate level. I love this offer from McKendree's view point. Their HC reigns from Iowa and is a Hawkeye graduate so it's only right that they would start to look into the recruiting game within the state moving forward.

& the #6th rated prospect from the 2027 Class is off the board to Cleveland State. [player_tooltip player_id='677842' first='Tylee' last='Weite'] of DSM Valley High School has been one of the state's best shooters throughout her high school career. Ever since she was a Freshman she has been lighting the nets on fire, hitting deep shots at Will from almost any range over the half court line. As she has gotten older, she has seemingly added onto her play-style, showing her versatility and that she can do some other productive things as well. Things like scoring at other offensive levels, defending, rebounding, and leading by example in general for her squad. Weite is going to be mainly stationed at the SG once she takes the college floor but with her size at 5'11 she could have certain situations where she could move to the CG position. It all depends on who is placed around her in those moments. All in all, Weite worried about herself first, she ran her own race and at the end of the day she is a D1 committed prospect because of it. That's pretty awesome.

It looks like the D3 & NAIA programs from other states out of the Midwest saw [player_tooltip player_id='1044938' first='Elliette' last='Burkle'] taking visits and thought to put their name in for a chance at the CG. Burkle just received a handful of offers after taking a few visits the last week into Illinois. We should expect this trend to continue until Burkle ends up committing to her future home. This is a classic situation of team's seeing someone else in their conference have interest, so they look into that player and now they have some interest as well. When coaches see that a hooper can produce in their conference, their eyes light up and we are seeing that first hand with Burkle right now. I have no idea where she is going to end up when it's all said and done but whoever locks her in is getting someone who is passionate about the game and dedicated to becoming better as she continues to get older.

Briar Cliff (NAIA) out of Iowa got a STEAL in Addison Bratt of Elkhorn North High School. BC has put some respectable seasons together as a whole over the last handful of years. They brought in a new coach last year but they picked up right where they left off and this commitment is a HUGE sign that things are still going really well for the Chargers. Bratt comes in as a knock-down shooting threat, who isn't afraid to mix it up and get physical while driving towards the basket. She is at her best off the catch but she can also knock some stuff down off the dribble when she has adequate spacing. Whenever she is overplayed she is good at driving to a better spot for a more open attempt if plausible. If not, she will kick it out, move away from things and let the offensive system do its work. She isn't the type to force unneeded shots unless it's for a heat check because she has made several in a row. I can't say it enough - this is a great pickup for BC because Bratt will produce at that level right when she steps on campus.

We always love to see a hard worker, who is dedicated to the game, make it to the next level to give themselves a chance to compete for 4-5 more seasons. Well thats what we have with Olivia Brown of Bridgeport High School. Brown, the #61 rated prospect out of the 2027 Class in Nebraska has had quite the journey. She hails in from the west side of the state so early on in her career it was a lot of driving 6-7 hours each way to find good competition to compete with and that paid off. Brown became better and was exposed to playing with/against some really talented hoopers from a national standpoint with [program_tooltip program_id='779942' first='ETG' last='Midwest Elite 3SSB']. Brown has the chance to continue to get even better as she gets older. She picks up things early on the floor and she leaves an impression with her effort. Those two things together could lead her to some fun places down the line but we will just have to wait and see how it all plays out following her Senior season this Winter.

Here are a few athletes out of Iowa & Nebraska that have recently received interest, been offered or they have recently committed to compete at the next level following their impressive AAU seasons this Summer.
