I feel that people will enjoy watching Vogler play if they ever get a chance. The Sun Prairie native is an excellent scorer and is one of the more talented players in her class at putting the ball in the basket. However, I also think her length and athletic tools will help her make an impact at the next level defensively. The tools are there, and if she gets into a college program, they can help her take her game on that end to a level some may not expect.

The Sun Prairie East standout consistently got downhill, using her speed and handle to navigate through the trees and finish plays. Having watched her during the highschool season, I knew she could shoot it at a high rate but Day 2 of the Champion Challenge showed she can impact the game in multiple ways.

Vogler has always been a player with a knack for putting the ball in the basket and has improved over the past three seasons. She’s more physical than she was when she entered the high school ranks, and plays with more confidence with the ball in her hands. The Sun Prairie native is a rangey kid with the athletic tools to impact the game on both ends of the floor. She could end up excelling at the next level.

Ava was one of the more consistent scorers that I watched at The Expo. Able to score at all three levels, she impressed me with her solid post play against taller defenders. She possesses the strength to finish through contact but also great footwork to maneuver around bigger defenders including a couple of nice up and under finishes. Coming off of a sophomore season where she averaged 16.4 points and 6.9 rebounds there is a lot to be excited about for Ava and Sun Prairie East this season!

Vogler competed with Team Herro over the summer months and came to camp with something to prove. The gritty guard played much bigger than her stature and provided toughness and spirit to team 2. She was a relentless rebounder on both ends of the floor using her speed and foresight on shot attempts. Vogler proved to be a bucket when driving the paint, initiating and absorbing contact at the basket for and ones and tough finishes. Most impressive was her ability to space the floor against lax defenses.

The Sun Prairie native may be the most undervalued guard in her class. The 5’7 Sun Prairie East guard has a knack for putting the ball in the basket. She’s a three-level scorer, and even when she picks up her dribble, she’s long enough to make tough shots, use a step-through to get by defenders and stay composed to pass out of it. Vogler isn’t a firebrand personality bouncing off the walls on the floor, so you may not realize how well she controls a game on the offensive end, but she was a first-team all-conference kid for a reason. There is strength she can add to her frame, especially once she gets into a college strength and conditioning program, but she’s done well without being the most physical kid at the high school level.

Of all the names in the 2027 class, Vogler is the name that may rise the most over the next few years. As she matures and adds strength, her game will become more well-rounded. Offensively, Vogler has all the tools you’d want. She can score, pass, handle pressure, shoot from range, get by her initial defender, and use her length on the defensive end of the floor. Vogler had a solid first season at Sun Prairie East, helping beat their cross-town rival for the first team in program history, and has put together a solid spring AAU season with Let it Rain.
