I-35 Showcase OKC: Super Seniors

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>By my count, there were a total of 13 seniors at the I-35 Showcase on Saturday and they all look like they will definitely be finding a home somewhere after high school graduation. These five players stood out from the pack for their potential to step in and immediately help whichever college team is lucky enough to hear a "yes" from them. Coaches, keep an eye on all of these players as the school ball season tips off soon. Mallory was part of the Edmond North back-to-back State Champs and she plays with the confidence to prove it. She's long and tall and very fluid with her movement. She gets out in transition and runs the floor very well. With the ball in her hands, she showed a silky smooth finish inside, with the ability to weave through traffic and finish consistently through contact. Mallory plays like a 3/4-hybrid where she knows how to gain position inside and rebounds well, yet she is 100% comfortable draining threes and using her dribble-drive to blow by sleepy defenders. I know in those u0022thrown together teamu0022 situations, sometimes people keep getting lost in the shuffle, but how many coaches have to yell u0022watch number 83u0022 in one day? She was lighting it up from deep. On the day, she shot somewhere around 70% from behind the arc and that wasn't all. McClellan also has great size and very good handles. She goes hard to the rim and finished consistently inside. She is starting to really pick up some college coaching attention and if you don't get onboard, you're going to regret missing out. She was always around the ball for her Lynx squad that went undefeated on Saturday. She swatted more than her share of shots and collected a lot of rebounds on both ends of the floor. Offensively, she showed the ability to get to the rim in a hurry. In what often seemed like two steps, Katelyn was finishing with either hand in tremendous ways. She racked up the stats in all three offensive categories and managed to stand out on a loaded team. She does a great job of making herself big defensively and using her length well. With the ball in her hands, Karlee is incredibly confident and fluid in her movements. She has her eyes up the court and saw the backdoor cut before it happened, several times. She has a really nice shooting stroke that also utilizes her length, with a nice, high release. Unafraid to let it go, she will shoot when given any amount of space and more likely than not, she will score it. But, if you remember, I mentioned that I was interested in seeing her in person and seeing if the tape was real. Funny story about that... I didn't recognize Jenna when she was warming up. Flash forward to the game and there was that lockdown defense. Eighty-four feet of hell for any player that was matched up against her. She was relentless. I almost felt bad for whichever player she was matched up against. Like, this is a showcase, maybe you should let them showcase a little, too, Jenna. I mean, who forces a 10-second call in a showcase like this? Add to that the things that I couldn't see on tape. I saw her coaching from the bench, encouraging teammates, hitting big three's when her team needed it, and seeing a pass ahead while making plays. Coaches, make the call. You're gonna want this player on your squad.
