The “glue” for the CCA Clippers is Lena Evans Lena Evans 5'8" | SG Clear Creek-Amana | 2026 State IA at the CG position. Evans stands out because she is always the first one on the floor for a loose ball, she records several tips/deflections/steals at high rate each contest, she can score from all offensive levels, and she communicates well with the others around her on both sides of the ball. Evans started off this ball game by grabbing several steals and converting those into finishes down on the other end in the first half. She also recorded several assists throughout the duration of this entire game. She had a few assists in transition, a few against a zone defense within the half court, and a few in her team’s offensive system. All in all, this was a respectable showing out of Evans for her first game of the regular season. She demonstrated that she is most definitely a college level player and that she is only going to get better with experience.
