Expert Analysis
Kyle Sandy | Prep Girls Hoops Scout
Camp is a true three-level scorer with confidence and control. She can space the floor with her jumper, create off the bounce and score in the mid-range. What stands out is her ability to generate offense on her own—she doesn’t need a system to get buckets. She plays with poise, doesn’t rush and understands how to pick her spots. Also rebounds well for a guard and competes defensively.

Camp solidified her spot on this team and as one of the very best juniors in the state of Georgia with an excellent high school season where she led Dalton to the Elite Eight before losing to eventual state runner up Kell. Camp has a very refined game offensively. The fluidity with which she plays on the court makes it look easy at times. She is a very skilled scorer from all three levels and has already eclipsed over 2,000 points for her career in just three years. Camp doesn’t just score, she is an outstanding passer with excellent vision and good ball handling. She is deceptively strong as well, throwing full court, one-handed passes to her teammates like a quarterback on the football field. She is a player who could end up in a lot of places in college due to her versatility and skill. She will spend the Summer with Kopacek on the Adidas circuit before returning for high school ball. I would not be surprised at all to see the two meet deep in the state tournament next year as well as battling it out for Player of the Year.

It wasn’t her most explosive output but even her B-game is better than most others’ A-game as Aubriyana dumped in 15 points, 6 rebounds, 1 assist and 3 steals in a tight 61-57 loss to Murray County. Camp got off to a strong start with six first quarter points, scoring on a drive, a floater off a steal and two free throws. She nailed a pair of threes for her only two other buckets and finished 5-8 from the charity stripe. Camp is dangerous with the ball in her hands. She’s swift and agile as a driver, consistently putting pressure on on-ball defenders. Aubriyana has deep range from beyond the arc but can also use her potent point production as a decoy to draw in defenders before dishing to teammates.

Aubriyana Camp – plays primarily off the ball with her HS team but playing with her travel team she’s playing the position she’ll be recruited to play at the next level so with that being said she’s getting elite level teaching on the fly from 16U Silver coach Ashley Ayers who arguably is the best PG in Vanderbilt women’s basketball history. Surrounded with other high level guards Camp showcased next level ability as floor general while also consistently making shots and terrorizing ball handlers defensively.
