“Hop” was on our list of “preseason breakout performers” after watching her this summer, and talking to her coaches. Everyone around her felt like she was primed for a breakout season…and she’s blow even the biggest predictions out of the water. In a huge district win over Clay County, Hopkins went off for 23 points, 5 rebounds, and 4 steals. She’s a game game changing defender with high-level athleticism. As she continues to learn to be a consistent scorer, her upside as a collegiate prospect is off the charts. For today, she’s settle for a big district win over Clay.
Highlights
Franklin Road continues to roll this season, and in large part due to the play of guard Ella Johnson Ella Johnson 5’6″ | SG Franklin Road Academy | 2028 TN . In a 2-0 week, Johnson averaged 18 points, 4 assists, and 4 rebounds. She’s been a steady hand for this team that has talented players up and down the roster. As she continues to be a two way player, and lead by example, good things are in store for this Father Ryan team.
And….she’s only a 2028. Franklin Road has two of the best 2028s in the state in Ella Johnson Ella Johnson 5’6″ | SG Franklin Road Academy | 2028 TN and Ava Zenner Ava Zenner 5’7″ | PG Franklin Road Academy | 2028 TN . This squad’s long term potential is through the roof.
In part, Franklin Roads success has been spurred by FR’s other 2028 guard that’s as legit as they come. In a 2-0 week, Zenner scored 17 and 19 points respectively. She’s a dynamic playmaker with the ball in her hand, that has elite change in speeds. She will be one of the best scorers in the state by the time she graduates. Franklin Road fans are thrilled! The next 4.5 years should be a lot of fun!!

Charlie Roby Charlie Roby 5'6" | PG Cookeville | 2026 TN
Cookeville had a huge 2-0 week with a huge win over York. Roby shined bright as a high level role player that looked like a real difference maker! She averaged 19 points and 7 rebounds. She always plays high-level defense, and if she’s also giving you a consistent & legitimate scoring threat….it really makes this Cookeville team that much more tough.
Isabella Garcia
Isabella Garcia
So I’m 100% in. Garcia can play…and she’s still unsigned. I thought her ability to get to her right hand in traffic vs York was just superb. Her 17 point, 5 rebound performance was bit time if you were watching! She followed that up with a 16 point, 10 rebound double-double vs Wilson Central. I’ve watched a lot of basketball, and Garcia is a college basketball player. Keep gringding kid.
Nolensville continues to put together an impressive season. Their victory of Brentwood was particulary impressive….Nolensville simply looked much better from top to bottom. In a 2-0 week, Washington averaged 24 points, 6 assists, and 5 rebounds. She’s great on the other side of the ball as well…I thought her on the ball defense vs Ella Ryan Ella Ryan 5’10” | PG Brentwood | 2025 State TN was excellent.
Macy Hudson Macy Hudson 5'8" | SG Cookeville | 2025 State TN
Macy Hudson Macy Hudson 5'8" | SG Cookeville | 2025 State TN
Another role player for Cookeville that simply plays the right way! Cookeville is a small team…and therefore rebounding from other positions becomes that much more important. Insert: Hudson, Macy. This week she had a 9 point, 9 rebounds, 3 steals performance, and followed that up with a 6 point, 8 rebound, 5 steal, 3 assists game. Hudson has become keenly aware of the gaps in the Cookeville roster, and she’s figuring out how to impact winning…and she’s becoming hard to get off the floor. She’s proof you don’t have to score big numbers to impact winning!
This 2026 combo guard has flown under my radar all season until I finally watched her performance vs Northeast. The sophomore hit 6 threes, and finished with 20 points, 8 rebounds, and 4 steals. She’s only 5’3, but she plays BIG. She put up 19 points and 9 rebounds earlier this week. She’s an 18 and 7 combo guard that hits 3’s at a high volume. She’s legit!
Hellums has continued to keep her terrific season rolling. Last week she was district Player of the Week averaging 14 points and 10 rebounds. She’s followed that up again with 15 and 9. Hellums is a terrific multi-dimensional player that has taken a leap this season. Davidson Academy is at .500, but they are a dangerous post season out with Hellums, Siciliy Robinson, and Malaya Woullard.
Woullard has developed the reputation as one of the quickest guards in her class. Her change of pace and speeds is elite. She’s a dynamic playmaker that knows how to collapse a D, create space, draw help…..and then understands the next reads of score, dump, kick, etc. She’s a high level guard that has been putting up big numbers this season, and she’s begininning to climb up recruiting charts.
