Expert Analysis
Marissa Rimbert | Prep Girls Hoops Scout
A lefty hustler who brings good activity on both ends of the floor. Showed a nice touch in the mid-range and found ways to score around the paint without having to overpower defenders. Against bigger posts, she used crafty finishes, angles, and her left hand to work her way around size at the rim. She also wasn’t afraid to mix it up on the glass, contributing on the boards and creating extra possessions with her effort.

can do pretty much everything. She can shoot the two and three, which forces defenses to guard her out past the volleyball line. She can attack gaps and get straight downhill into the paint to score. She can defend; her on-ball defense was on point. Best of all, she has a phenomenal voice. She talked the entire time —on the court, off the court, and from the sideline—a high-IQ student-athlete who fits any disciplined system. Without question, she got game!

Batac also made my Players To Keep On The Lookout for Tip Sheet; see evaluations here. She went completely off during the 3 on 3 to open things up, let me drop the #THROWBACK for her following her shot, yet her spin move in traffic inside the paint to score dropped the mic. Okay, her “stop and pop,” as well as the pull-up and finishing off the dribble after contact, body control played a part in that. She also saw the floor, made good decisions, and played solid defense

Batac is a player I caught a while back at the PGH Freshman Showcase see evaluations here, although I have only caught glimpses of her online, I can honestly say she has improved at playing both the 1 and the 2

Batac was another player who JUST DID IT for me in the 3 on 3 at the PGH Freshman Showcase as she simply brought so much energy not only there, but in the 5 on 5 that it trickled down to her teammates, and if you know anything about the game, you know that’s huge. She followed her shot, created havoc on defense to cause turnover, picked pockets, played the passing lane, scored multiple ways, and just kept coming. Oh yeah, #sizedontmatter group see evaluations here

Batac was one of the best players at the event that I had never seen play before, and she showed that off the top during the 3 on 3 see evaluation here, so when I talk about players who “seize the opportunity” she did just that. During the 5 on 5, she shook defenders, got them off balance with the HEZ, and even gave me the step back from deep. Her court vision in transition was also solid, and so is her upside

Batac was one of the best players I knew nothing about at the event, both classes included, and her “#EnergizerBunny mindset gave me a boost because she brought heat on both ends. She’s a #sizedontmatter guard who finishes acrobatically off the dribble; body control played a part in that. She saw the floor while being defended, and her defense created havoc. She also created her shot and dropped the jumper
