Kentucky Premier 17U E40 went 3-1 at the Clash this past weekend. Aubrey Randolph Aubrey Randolph 5’9″ | SF Owensboro Catholic | 2025 State KY looked much improved and continues to get better and better. She was the primary ball handler for her team and showed poise and ball control running the point. Aubrey pushed the pace in transition and did a good job finding open teammates or taking it herself and finishing strong at the rim. She also telegraphed passes that led to steals and showed nice touch on her dribble pull-up jumper. She played very well in the first game of the tournament against New York Royals and finished with 11 points, 3 assists, 3 blocks, 2 steals, and a rebound.

Makiyia Wheeler Makiyia Wheeler 5’5″ | PG Franklin County | 2027 State KY is another player from Kentucky Premier 2027 that stood out amongst great talent at the Nike EYBL Session 1. She dropped a lot of dimes, and showed how much of a willing passer she is. Makiyia also used her speed and quick first step to blow defenders to get points at the rim. Her best game came against Team Durant, she finished with 10 points, 3 steals, 3 assist, 4 rebounds to help her team get the win 66-64.

Hadley French Hadley French 5’4″ | PG Madison Southern | 2026 State KY played against the best of the best and had a memorable experience during the live period weekend and continues to build up her reputation as the top 3-point shooter in Kentucky. Hadley could not miss at the Apache Memorial, she was in the zone and let off a barrage of 3-point bombs throughout the tournament. When ETA Thunder matched-up against Nautilus Elite, it looked like target practice for Hadley, she knocked down 7 triples and finished the game with 21 points.
Highlights
Maddison Lawson excels in the classroom and on the basketball court. She is a straight “A” student and the type of ball player that can go for 20 points and 10 assists on any given night. Maddison left her mark at the Clash. She manipulated defenses with her deep range shooting, played well under pressure, was very good at drawing contact, and made crisp passes to put her teammates in position to score.

Highlights
Layla Flynn Layla Flynn 5’7″ | PG Dunbar | 2027 State KY played at a very high level at the UA Rise Session 1 last weekend. She impacts the game in a multitude of ways, and is developing into an elite guard right in front our eyes. Layla played suffocating on-ball defense, and made life miserable for opposing guards. She played with poise, displayed tremendous court awareness, and always made the right decision with the basketball. Layla also rebounded the ball extremely well, did a good job leaking out in transition for points the other way, and came up with a ton of steals on the defensive end.

Peyton Carey Peyton Carey 5’7″ | PG Saint Ursula Academy | 2025 OH had a enjoyable experience at the Clash last weekend playing in her hometown Cincinnati, Ohio. She was aggressive on offense and did a great job driving the ball and finishing through contact inside. Peyton shot the ball very well from the perimeter, made good basket cuts, and always had her head up in transition looking to reward her teammates for running the floor. She had her best performance in the first game of the tournament against Fusion, she scored 16+ points and came up with 3 steals.
