Senior guard for Bartlett, Kaylin Sheffield Kaylin Sheffield 5'7" | SG Bartlett | 2026 State TN , played at an extremely high level defensively in the state semifinals.
Sheffield in the semis was a disruptor on the perimeter, generating a game-high four steals against Cookeville High School. One thing Sheffield does that makes her such a good defender is her helpside defense. Sheffield does a good job at staying on her assignment while constantly looking for avenues to initiate a double team. When the moment presents itself, Sheffield swoops in and often creates a mistake from the opposing player or a steal.

The lefty shooting guard was not ranked in the preseason rankings and jumped to 43 in the final rankings. She will be taking her talents to Dyersburg State in the fall. She helped lead her team to the state semifinal round. The senior was a deadly shooter in the corner behind the 3 point line and not limited to that shot.

Senior Kaylin Sheffield Kaylin Sheffield 5'7" | SG Bartlett | 2026 State TN performed at a high-level in her last two high school games at the state tournament.
Sheffield, in the two tournament games, went 4-6 from distance. Her lefty jumper throughout the season generated a large amount of points. She does a great job at setting her feet before she goes into her jumper, playing into her having a consistent shot every attempt she takes.
Sheffield is also a great guard defender. In the state semifinals against Cookeville, she had four steals.

Lefty Shooter, Shooter. I didn’t know if I was going to see this young lady play this season. Bartlett was the very first team I saw play in the pre-season. If I recall correctly, she was on crutches. When I finally saw the Dyersburg State signee, I was very impressed with her shooting abilities. Lefty shooters have the prettiest shot to me. I don’t know why but they do and she is a lefty. The corner 3 is her shot. She is very confident with her shooting and not limited to the corner. She is going to get her shot off in several ways. She is averaging 6.8 points per game.

Her stats doesn’t fully display the level of a shooter that she is. She is currently averaging 5.8 points and 2.3 rebounds per game. She can knock down 3s from the corner and hit the mid range shot.
