Originally in Toledo, Ohio, the event has now shifted to Fort Wayne, Indiana. With several strong programs in attendance, there were a number of ladies who played well. Below is a look at the ten who I felt stood out the most to me during the games I was able to see during Sunday's bracketed play. With a number of injuries and a lack of size, she was able to help with her long frame, whether it was on the boards, defensively, or just providing another body. She just does so many different things for her team that she's always contributing, and she does so with a great motor. In their Elite Eight loss, she scored the first seven points for her team and probably had somewhere between 25-30 points overall. This year, with added strength, she is a bit more explosive, she's able to absorb contact, and she has become a consistent multilevel scoring threat. Even if she isn't having the greatest of games, she's still confidently taking tough shots down the stretch. She has nice length, a wiry-strong frame, and she's a great catch u0026amp; shoot wing. She is strong, she moves well in most directions, and she is bouncy. About once a half she'll make a play that has you simply say u0022wowu0022. She has a tremendous motor, she's quietly very tough, and she seems to always make a big play or two in critical moments. She operates inside of 15-feet, she moves well without the ball and creates driving lanes for her guards, but she also knows how to step into open space, receive the ball, and finish at a variety of angles.
