Davenport North is another program that is going to return their major pieces once again this season so anyone coming into their program is going to have to find their place early if they want to see the Varsity floor. Someone that falls into that category, that has shown one promise the past six months is Isla Marti Isla Marti 5'8" | CG Davenport North | 2028 IA . Marti will join the Wildcats as a Freshman this Winter and I’m not sure if she will see the Varsity floor right away but I wouldn’t be shocked if she does. Overall, Marti is a competitor. She loves to leave it all out on the floor with her effort and she has solid coordination as well. Two things that are going to fair in her favor in the long run.

I didn’t know much about Isla Marti Isla Marti 5'8" | CG Davenport North | 2028 IA prior to this AAU season but after watching her compete a few times, I would be surprised if she didn’t see the Varsity floor or get at least a roster spot as a Freshman, while probably playing on JV as well. This is one of those situations where I think Marti will compete with both teams and if she does well enough on JV starting off, they could move her up right away. Honestly, Marti has solid size at 5’8, she understands the game of basketball on several different levels, and she can produce. If she is put in the right situation moving forward, this could be someone we mention several times this upcoming Winter. Some things that are not in her control need to fall into place for that to happen but it’s definitely possible.

Isla Marti Isla Marti 5'8" | CG Davenport North | 2028 IA is going to bring energy, skill, and a whole lot of positivity to the North Scott High School team come this Winter. Marti is a decently sized guard, that understands her role on whatever team she is lacing up with. Over her next four years, I expect her confidence to take her places. If she competes with a chip on her shoulder and understands that should could be the best player in the North Scott program at the end of the day, it’s going to help her tremendously. She has all the intangibles to be great, now she just needs to go out and make it happen.
