Cooper seems to just add another level to her game each time I see her… and the biggest thing she’s shown confidence in is just the pace and non-phased attitude she plays with. I’ve never seen her be overly emotional… and when you have a player who can score at all three levels and shows a high level of composure, that’s a key trait college coaches look for. With a major change to her high school program, the key to success will be how Harmony plays, and I don’t think anyone is counting her out.

There were stretches where watching Cooper attack the basket felt like watching the same scene on repeat: drive, finish or draw the foul, and do it all over again. She was the primary ballhandler on her team and clearly the best player on the floor for much of the time she played, but she also wasn’t selfish. Her distribution skills for a player of her size are special. Cooper also played a solid two-way game, using her length to disrupt passing lanes with her hands. The next step in Cooper’s development is calling an offensive play for the rest of her team and using herself as a decoy to get others open. She’s good enough as a primary ballhandler to draw that type of attention and I can’t wait to see her grow in the coming year.

Cooper remains one of the top guards in this state and had another showing this weekend. She moves with pace and doesn’t force her scoring. Her game has pace and patience, but also strong aggression. Defensively, the improvement is showing as well; she isn’t afraid to be physical and has a good sense of when to gamble. An all-state season might be up for her.

There are some players who have a high-level motor that’s matched with a high level of confidence, and that’s Harmony. This kid has a legitimate, wide-ranging skill set, and the fact that she doesn’t play at just one speed makes her game even smoother. Her handle gets her to the angles and spots she wants, and her ability to finish at the rim creates space for her to knock down the midrange and deep ball. She will be a key piece in how far her high school program goes this winter. High potential.

Harmony has a subtle yet aggressive nature to her game, and it’s the type of skill set that can fit into a variety of systems and succeed. The game is mature, and she rarely tries things that she’s not fully confident in. The handles are sharp, she moves with purpose, and she understands when to be a floor general and when it’s time to go get a bucket herself. There isn’t much wasted movement in her game, which allows her to stay effective regardless of pace or matchup. Strong potential, and one of the bigger stock risers I’ve watched recently.

A sophomore point guard with great confidence and speed. Drives with both hands, scores, rebounds, and passes. Shows unusual leadership for her age and should be on college coaches’ radar as she continues to grow. She already looks like the future face of the program. Her ability to guide teammates while executing at a high level makes her a true floor general.

A solid and sound skillset for her class year. Cooper plays the game with a strong sense of pace and IQ. Off the ball, she can play the corner role and knock down the shots if the possession calls for it. When it’s time for her to run the offense, she can use her ball handling and frame to get where she needs without having to be faster than her matchup. One of those players to forsure keep an eye on over the next couple of years.

Relentless is the word that comes to mind when Cooper name is bought up in conversations. This kid just has the head down and work type of attitude and its written all over her game. The high points are usually coupled with a high number of boards, and this seems to be on a nightly basis. The talent at Example is not like any other program in the state, looking forward to see how Harmony develops over the next couple of years.
