Sophia will be the lead guard for one of the most dangerous teams in the state this winter. South Christian is a top five team in Division Two and potentially the favorite to win it all. Sophia had a stellar travel season for MBA-UAA on the circuit and was also impressive at BCAM’s Reaching Higher. Her ability to penetrate gaps with explosive quickness, finish through contact, distribute accurate passes, pressure the ball, and rip the nets from three-point distance, make her a top 25 prospect in the state. She’s a great addition to Hope’s 2026 class and should have a very successful career there following graduation.

Sophia is an exceptional point guard prospect in this class, and she’s provided plenty of supporting evidence again this summer. At BCAM, she was ruthless. Sophia used shifty inside-out dribbles to score layups in transition, blew past defenders for finishes off two feet, and attacked through contact to cause fouls–converted her free throws. Sophia is physically strong, compact, and quick. She hounds the ball to force steals on defense and shifts into another gear to create transition scoring. Sophia has a smooth stroke from three-point range and fires passes on a rope to open teammates. D2/NAIA/D3 colleges in Michigan that have a spot available for a point guard should be taking a serious look at Sophia right now.
